"I love you." I say, all red and amorous.

"It has been nice knowing you." You say, sure that an action now is a thought forever.

"Until the next debacle, my friend." I say, positive that this negativity is necessary .

Forgetful,It becomes easy to

Act in rhythm to theDrums of yesterday’s war,

Despite the treatise callFor peace offered in the temperate palms

Of Here and Now.

Worry not

Though,As if monkey’s in their banter

Really knew what death theirProjected feces sew,

For behind facades,

Beneath the masks,Above the wings of callous words:

Love resides,
