On OCTOBER 3, 2015, Resplandor De Vida celebrated their 5th Anniversary!
The children led the program with praise, preaching the Word and skits. It was a joyful evening that truly glorified the Lord!
† God sent rain and cool temperatures that evening...we were very thankful for the new
covered patio that was completed in May. We are blessed to share with you that 2015 has been a wonderful year

RESPLANDOR DE VIDA CHILDREN’S HOME CELEBRATES 5 YEARS

Resplandor De Vida (RDV), a Christ-centered home for impoverished children located in the outskirts of Juarez, Mexico, opened in October 2010. Harvest Hands Ministries works together with Joaquin Estupiñan and his wife, Dalia, directors of this home and the RDV staff sharing in a desire to help children and their parents overcome the challenges of severe poverty. Presently there are 25 children ages 4-14 residing at Resplandor as well as 5 staff children. The children are thriving in this stable, nurturing and structured environment where they are cared for with shelter, warmth, food, love and taught about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Monday-Friday, they rise early and are taken by bus to Gabriela Mistral, a local Christian school. When they return in the early afternoon, they are fed their main meal, take a rest and then begin a schedule that includes music, homework, Christian values, crafts and recreation. RDV is blessed to have a talented Christian staff: Pepe, their music teacher; Oralia, Director of Gabriela Mistral who helps them with their academics; Carlos, their Christian Values teacher, who also teaches at the seminary at his church; Jorge, their physi-cal education instructor; and Fabiola, their craft teacher. Dinner is served at 6pm. The children also attend 2 church services per week. This year construction at the children’s home compound concentrated on dormitory #2, a two-story building that will be a home to 25 or more children. It will also include a chapel, library, computer and music rooms, offices, staff housing and storage. Stairs were installed for access to the second level where insulation, drywall and paint are completed in many areas. The electric and plumbing have also been installed. Projects needing to be done upstairs are lighting, heating, air conditioning, flooring, kitchen and bathrooms. The first level of dormitory #2 has a cement floor and block walls framed with 2x4 wood studs waiting to be insulated and dry-walled, etc. As you can see, much more work remains to be done at RDV. We also plan on building a Christian school for our children as well as other local children. This work is accomplished by volunteers who come on short term mission trips and serve with Harvest Hands by giving of their time and talents to the Lord here in Mexico. This past spring we built a patio with a steel laminate roof over it between the two dormitories thanks to the generosity of one of our supporting churches. It was constructed by 2 of our volunteer work teams. Seventy-three yards of concrete were poured and a covering 100 ft. x 30 ft. wide was put in place. Now the children have a great place to relax and play in the shade on those hot sunny days, which are many!
Won’t you consider serving with us by bringing a team down or joining a team scheduled for 2016? Contact us at [email protected] for a mission trip brochure.

Dormitory #2 under construction New covered patio Dormitory #1
During the summer break at Resplandor De Vida, the staff held a vacation
bible school utilizing the unfinished 1st floor of dorm #2 and reached out to the
local community of needy children.
The week’s theme was that we, as believers in Christ, come from a Royal Lin-
eage and the bible verse was 1 Samuel 16:7. Each day, there were classes for
various age groups being taught the Word of God and learning more about the
Lord. The week culminated with a final day celebrating together all that they
had learned and sharing a meal.
The RDV staff is doing an excellent job and we are very pleased with the level
of professionalism they have attained. We praise the Lord for all he is doing at
RDV!
Vision Clinic Outreach
In August, we were visited by Ron White, founder of Vision for Christ, and his wife, Dolly. Ron is an Optometrist who travels all over the world blessing people with free glasses in Jesus’ name. He joins us in Mexico every other year and this time clinics were held at 5 locations including 3 churches, 1 school and RDV. We gave out about 400 pairs of glass-es to people in need.

Anapra Church, “Juan 14:6”, Ministers to Those in Need
Say not ye, There are yet four months,
and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say
unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on
the fields; for they are white already to
harvest. John 4:35
Then saith he unto his disciples, The
harvest truly is plenteous, but the
labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the
Lord of the harvest, that he will send for
the labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 9:38
Dear Friends,
With joy and gratitude for all He has done
in the lives of many needy people through
this ministry and Resplandor De Vida, we
share this newsletter with you. It is a priv-
ilege to serve here in Mexico with our
brothers and sisters in Christ.
There is much work yet to be done! The
vision is great! Once complete, Children’s
Dorm #2 will be a home to 25-30 more
impoverished children and provide the
additional space needed for offices, a
chapel, music room and more. A Christian
school at the compound will provide a
Christ-centered education for not only the
children of Resplandor, but also other
children of the local area.
We are so thankful for our prayer part-
ners, volunteers and those who support
this work of the Lord financially and in
other ways. Please share this newsletter
with your pastor, missions board and
small groups. If you would like an e-file,
contact us at [email protected].
This ministry is growing in Mexico and
more help is needed to further the vision.
May God be glorified as we serve Him
together to further the gospel!

Last year, we shared with you about the construc-tion of a mission in Anapra. Here’s an update: Pastors Noe and Suky Beltran share with us that they are very blessed to hold services for their congregation which includes 35 children. They meet 5 days a week for prayer, classes or ser-vices. Harvest Hands is participating in this minis-try outreach by supporting them financially & help-ing with the construction of a church building. This year, ceiling insulation, drywall, an a/c unit and ceiling fans were installed. They now use one of HHM’s former 15-passenger vans to provide transportation to and from ser-vices. The people are being taught the Word of God, prayed for and receiving discipleship in this loving fellowship.
Insulation & drywall in the
church ceiling will
help to keep it cool in the
summer and warm in the
winter. Temps range on
average from 19-104
degrees F.
The children love coming to their church called Juan 14:6.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

RESPLANDOR DE VIDA MISSION: HARVEST HANDS has constructed a children ’s shelter in the outskirts of Juarez, MX. This is a home to impoverished children ages 4-14 and is located in the Desert Farms colonia. God has called us here to work with the poor-est of poor. Dormitory #1 is open and has 25 children living there. Dormitory #2 is under construction. The mission at RDV is di-rected by Joaquin Estupiñan. CHURCH SERVICES: Weekly services are held at RDV for the people of the local colonias on Friday mornings and include praise & worship, a message and prayer. Daycare with breakfast is provided for the children. 79 MEXICAN STUDENTS SPONSORED DURING THE 2015-16 ACADEMIC YEAR: This year 79 Mexican students are attend-ing school from Kindergarten through University because of the scholarships provided by HHM supporters. Tuition, bus fare, books, scholastic & sport uniforms, shoes, sneakers, under clothing, backpacks, personal care items and school supplies are provided. SCHOOL SUPPLY BAG PROGRAM: School supply bags were distributed in Mexico to needy school age children. These school supplies were purchased and assembled by friends of HHM. This year, gifts will go to the children at Resplandor De Vida Children’s Home, Pastor Nacho’s church, Pastors Noe & Suky’s church and all the students in the Mexican Student Sponsorship Program. The children are so delighted with these Christmas gifts! PASTORAL SUPPORT: We provide Sunday school curriculum to 3 Mexican churches.
