Sr.No. Bidder's Query Nabard Clarification1 1-Please share what is the current

investment in IT ?

2- Is there any existing DW/BI

technology being used by the Bank? If

yes, please share te details.

Apart from the current OLTP systems,

NABARD has invested in Nutanix

Server with adequate capacity to scale.

NABARD would like to leverage this

investment unless there is a clinching

reason to procure additional hardware

externally.

There is no existing Data Warehouse

2 1- Please share the existing technology

landscape and current IT architecture

for the bank.

2- What is the underlying

technology/product for the 5

enterprise application of NABARD?

We have host of OLTP systems for our

core banking sytem (on Oracle),

Ensure (a platform through which we

get regulatory returns from our

supervised entities on SQL Server &

Business Objects, HRMS (Peoplesoft),

and a document management system

with a workflow processing.

3 1- Can you share an indicative list of

external systems which are currently

being used by NABARD?

We are currently taking stock of the

external systems used / required by

our departments. You can assume that

any data that provides context to

NABARD's operations in agricultaral

refinance, rural development, and as

policy advisory will be integrated into

the NABARD data warehouse

4 Please share the latency that is

expected.

1 day

Responses to Queries - Expression of InterestIdentification of Vendor for implementing

Data Management, Analytics and Business Intelligence Solution

5 1-What will be the frequency of batch

jobs envisaged by NABARD

2- Is there a requirement for real-time

ingestion from any internal or external

system?

Frequency of Batch Jobs will be daily

Currently we don’t see need for real

time ingestion, but this requirement

could change as new use cases arise.

6 We have implemnted multiple data

lake and EDW solutions for large

organisations based on their respective

IT environment and requirements.

Would some of these references

suffice?

Yes

7 1-What will be the duration of post

implementation support period? Will

it be for 5 years?

2- Is there any specific implemntation

timeline NABARD has finalised at this

point in time?

We have not take a decision on either

the implmentation timelines and

support. We expect to take a decision

when we float the RFP

8 Please allow online submission with

digitally signed document due to

COVID scenario logistics will be an

issue.

An official email from the person who

is authorised to give technical proposal

would suffice

9 A. Please suggest the scope include

ingesting data from NABARD systems

only or it includes data from eg. RBI,

RRBs, RCBs etc?

B. What all internal source

systems/applications data is to be

integrated into DMABI?

Key NABARD internal source systems

have been given as part of the EoI. The

list of external data feeds to be

integrated will be finalized during the

RFP

10 Please share details of MIS Database

or Central Data repository or Data

Marts if exists currently.

Currently we are reporting out of a set

of reporting tables that are populated

with the extracts

11 What are the key business issues you

face today? What’s the impact on the

organization?

The Business Issues will be shared at

the time of the engagement. Currently

the Information retrieval issues are

Identification and Retrieval of single

source of truth, lack of consistent

reporting, amount of effort expended

for retrieving information,

proliferation of data marts, etc

12 What is the current IT Landscape and

Technology Stack of NABARD?

Please share the existing technology

landscape in scope of this program

including on-premise,Cloud

presence,branches,partner network,

Security Architecture (SSO,AD

Authentication,encryption,key

management),technology products

and tools

Hardware: We have made an

investment in Nutanix Hypervisor

which is scalable for the requirements

in forseeable future and would like to

leverage the investment.

Our OLTP applications exist on Oracle,

SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre

13 Please suggest if it is 1000 TB or a

typos as incremental 1GB/day for 7

years will result in ~2556GB excluding

logs etc.

Else kindly suggest derivation of this

1000 TB.

Please read as 300 TB. NABARD apart

from being a refinance institution has

an advisory role on matters related to

agriculture and rural development,

there will be need to ingest extensive

amount of both structured and

unstructured data from external

soruces. For example geospatial data

about soil, weather conditions, prices

of agricultural inputs / outputs,

satellite images, vegetation coverage,

cropping pattern, agricultural

production, demographics,

afforestation, etc

14 Is NABARD open for cloud solution? If

yes, then what is the cloud preference -

Public cloud/Private cloud/Hybrid?

We would like to evalute cloud, on

premise and hybrid solutions. Please

suggest

15 A) It is understood that for a product if

proposed as part of solution will be

covered as per EULA of OEM, and IPR

only for customised component

development done for NABARD will

remain with Bank. Kindly confirm.

B) If a bidder proposes an accelerator

IPR of which is with bidder shall

remain with bidder only and will not

be transferred to NABARD. Kindly

confirm.

This will be discussed and clarified at

the time of the RFP

16 Request to provide number of reports

(canned and ad-hoc) with complexity

as that will help in deciding

appropriate solution components and

efforts.

There are 30 Head office departments

and 32 regional offices across all the

states. So we expect 500 canned

reports. The number of adhoc reports

will be as per business conditions.

17 Please share the location of the three

DCs mentioned in this clause i.e. for

Primary site DC, Test&Dev Separate

DC and DR.

While we plan to have our DC and DR

on Nutanix Server, the physical

location of the storage would be in

different locations18 A) Please suggest if Bank is open for

DW, DL on Cloud.

B) Please suggest if there are any

source systems on cloud from where

data needs to be extracted.

We prefer on premise

19 Please share the number of objects to

be ingested in proposed DMABI from

the internal source applications (as

mentioned in EOI Document) CLMAS,

HRMS, ECM, ENSURE, NABNET

This will be part of the source system

analysis. We will either provide this

information at the time of RFP or

make the study of the source systems

as part of the scope of the project.

Please make reasonable assumptions.

20 Please share Database type, size and

Interface/integration Mechanism from

the internal source applications -

CLMAS, HRMS, ECM, ENSURE,

NABNET

CLMAS and HRMS are on Oracle

ENSURE is on Microsoft SQL Server

Other details will be shared at RFP.

For ETL, we can have the source

applications send out (FTP) extracts of

incremental daily transactions as a csv

file from the ETL tool will pick and

process the extracts. There will be no

native connectivity to the databases

21 What all external source

systems/applications data is to be

integrated into DMABI?

Please share the count of source

databases by database type, number of

objects, size and integration

mechanism for external source

applications.

This can be clarified at the time of

RFP.

22 What is history data requirement?

How many years of history data to be

migrated in proposed DMABI

solution? Please share approximate

size and number of objects(tables) to

be migrated.

7 Years of data will be stored in the

Data warehouse. Older data where

available will be archived.

Details about the objects will be shared

at RFP

23 Please explain this point. What type of

data to be updated on portal? Is this

report data stored in Data warehouse

/Data Mart?

A GUI portal that will give the

operations team the status of the ETL

batch jobs so that we are aware of

things that are likely to go wrong and

take corrective action. This may not be

stored in Enterprise Data Warehouse,

but can serve as a knowledge

repository for the operations team.

24 Please share top 2 use cases for Master

Data Management.

We have close to 100+ products and a

few hundred entities that we lend to or

disburse grants. It is expected that all

the departments refer to the same

reference table.25 Please share any data model standard

that is being followed at the Bank

We don’t have any enterprise model

yet. The data models for the individual

OLTP systems were provided by the

vendors / Sis26 What is size of data to be migrated Historical data will not exceed 20 TB

27 What are the sources for Data soures

to be used for migration?

We don’t have a common data

repository. So all the data should be

sourced from the OLTPs for both

historical load and incremental load

28 Whether the data in data lake going to

be encrypted?

We are sensitive about the security of

our data both in rest and in transit.

Kindly suggest appropriate solution

29 The raw data from data lake will be

migrated from data lake to dataware

house, will the data be encrypted in

Data Warehouse?

We are sensitive about the security of

our data both in rest and in transit.

31 How many applications are going to be

integrated with data security solution

for encryption and decryption for

data?

We are sensitive about the security of

our data both in rest and in transit.

Kindly suggest appropriate solution

32 How many sites would the solution be

deployed on , considering for DC and

DR Scenario?

Apart from DC and DR which are exact

replicas of each other, we would like to

have an environment for Development

and UAT will approximately 20 - 30%

capacity

33 Can the data consumable applications

integrate with the proposed Data

Security solution, which would require

code changes or making API calls?

We are open. Please suggest

34 What tools are currently being

leveraged for risk modeling and fraud?

We don’t have any model for Fraud.

For Risk we are using Excel and R

language to some extent35 Please elaborate on the Analytics use

cases that need to be implemented.

Which areas do these Analytics use

cases belong to - Risk, Fraud etc?

Geo, Financial, Risk and Product

Design are the areas of analytics

36 Will the Analytics use case be

implemented on Cloud platform?

We would like the data to exist on the

premise. We will evalute cloud, on

premise and hybrid platforms for the

tools37 A) How many models need to be

migrated?

B) Are these models currently

leveraging AI/ML ?

C) Is NABARD looking at enhancing

these models or as-is migration?

are building advanced analytics

models. We expect the use cases for

Advanced analytics models to evolve

over time40 Is NABARD considering only open

source tools ?

Is there a plan to continue using

existing technology stack in addition

to open source tools or move away

completely from the existing

technology stack?

Open to both based on availablity of

service

We wish to clarify that we will retain

our records as per our records

retention policies. Upon reasonable

notice, we will allow Client to inspect

our invoicing records under this

engagement; such inspection shall be

153 We request client to allow us to

incorporate our standard terms of

business in our proposal. These are

very simple and straightforward.

Please confirm that we would be

allowed to negotiate the ensuing

Alternatively, please confirm that the

contracting template for procurement

of consultancy services issued by

154 Client is requested to limit consultants

liability to 1X of the total contract

value. Further, Client is requested to

include to clause to state that we will

not be liable for any indirect and

consequential losses or damages. This

is as per GFR and Meity guidelines and

also the industry standard. Even the

agreement (including but not limited

to negligence), whether in contract,

tort, statute, indemnities or otherwise,

is limited to one time the professional

155 Client is requested to allow standard

exceptions to confidential information,

which is industry standard and

reasonable. Not all information can be

regarded as confidential. For eg., if the

information is in public domain, we

cannot be expected to keep it

confidential at our end. Similarly, if

any information is liable to be

disclosed under the RTI, giving it a

confidential status and obliging us to

keep such information confidential is

not correct. We request inclusion of

following clause:

Confidential information does not

include any information which (i) is

rightfully known to the recipient prior

to its disclosure; (ii) is independently

developed by the recipient without use

of or reliance on confidential

information; or (iii) is or later becomes

and for regulatory and internal

compliance purposes. However, to the

extent legally permissible, we will

such information. Client is therefore

requested to kindly include the

following clause:

Consultant may disclose confidential

information: (a) to its employees,

directors, officers and subcontractors,

on a need to know basis, as required

for performance of services, provided

such employees, directors, officers and

subcontractors are bound by

confidentiality obligations; (b) where

required by applicable law or

regulation or for regulatory and

compliance (both internal and

external) purposes.

the disputes to arbitration as per

Indian laws. It is easier, faster and less

cumbersome. With the recent

amendments, it has become even more

effective. GFR and Meity guidelines

also encourage arbitration. We

therefore request you to kindly

consider the below clause inclusion:

In case, a dispute is not amicably

resolved within forty five (45) days of

referral by one party to another, it

shall be resolved through arbitration,

in India, in accordance with the

provisions of Arbitration and

Conciliation Act 1996 (and any

that we incur in connection with any

claim by anyone else in relation to the

services. Please confirm our

understanding is correct.

163 If the project is to be completed on

time, it would require binding both

parties with timelines to fulfill their

respective part of obligations. We

request you that you incorporate a

deliverable acceptance procedure,

perhaps the one provided by Meity in

their guidelines, or the one suggested

below, to ensure that acceptance of

deliverables is not denied or delayed

and comments, if any, are received by

us well in time. You may consider

including the below simple clause:

Within 10 days (or any other agreed

period) from Client's receipt of a draft

deliverable, Client will notify

Consultant if it is accepted. If it is not

accepted, Client will let Consultant

know the reasonable grounds for such

non acceptance, and Consultant will

take reasonable remedial measures so

that the draft deliverable materially

meets the agreed specifications. If

Client does not notify Consultant

within the agreed time period or if

Client uses the draft deliverable, it will

be deemed to be accepted.

respective source systems, for e.g. -

How is data stored in each system,

Frequency of extracting data from

external sources and so on? What is

the expected latency?

You may discuss your expertise in

ingesting from different sources

Please suggest available options

174 Does components of solution to be

proposed be cloud ready? With nearly

all banks experimenting with hybrid-

cloud setup, we recommend the bank

to procure a solution which can be

currently deployed on-prem to fulfill

current RFP needs and also fulfills the

future needs of the bank ( if ever) to

seamlessly migrate to cloud thus

saving transformational cost.

Please suggest different options. We

expect the data to be on premise and

the tools can be on cloud as long as

data does not persist on cloud

175 We recommend the bank to add

requirements around containerization.

Containerized technologies allows

organization to decouple compute

from their underlying storage thus

helping the bank in being agnostic of

the infrastructure they are currently

on. Migration processes becomes

seamless. These are new technologies

which will help bank scale their

compute requirements when needed

and thus help in saving overall project

205 for real time reconcillation dashboard,

it is the reconcilliation process

dashboard not the reconcilliation data.

It should show reconciled data to

match of different areas/departments.

But reconcillation process to be run

batch mode every night.

The primary intent of this requirement

is to ensure that there is no loss of

information / data while passing

through ETL. Reconciliation of the

source data with appropriate data in

the Data Warehouse will give us

confidence before release the reports

to the business

206 Rectification of errors based on

reconciliation report should better be

done at source system end. New

solution would provide reconciliation

report with details

213 The penalties on Liquidated damages

& SLAs should be reasonable & capped

at following levels:

a) Liquidated damages: should be

applicable only in the event of delay in

delivery solely attributable to the

Bidder and should be computed at the

rate of 0.5% of the value of the delayed

deliverables per each week of delay,

subject to the maximum of 5% of the

relevant deliverable values.

b) SLA Penalties: Maximum SLA

penalties should be capped at 5% of

the applicable fees for that month.

218a) Reprocurement from third party

only in the event of termination of the

contract due to SI's breach; and

b) Customer to provide adequate cure

period before invocation of this clause.

No step in rights to be exercised

during the implementation phase.

c) SI's liability limited to incremental

cost capped at 10% of the cost of the

undelivered products/services.

219 Please have the Fall Clause deleted.

It is hard for SI’s to furnish, as the

price of another contract may be

dependent on several factors which

may be different from the incumbent

RFP. These include legal provisions in

contracts, payment terms and

exchange rate at the time of

procurement.

226 Generally the large scale organizations

has the budget and not the turnover.

Hence, we would request to have the

budget instead of turnover in this

clause.

227 We have suggested to add IT

company/firms as the existing clause

will have any of the companies

participate not having the IT

background. The project basically is

and IT project and hence the

suggestion to add IT company/firm.

As well as we suggest to make the

turnover as INR 100 Cr. Which will

have higher and competitive

participation with quality companies.

and how many total tables are there to

extract data from! Please provide

aplication details (e.g. SAP with Oracle

DB etc)!

The key source systems are listed in

the EoI.

230 How much real time data can we

expect on daily basis!

We don’t expect to get real time data

currently. Use case for real time

analysis and ETL may arise once the

users start accessing reports

231 What is going to be SLA for batch

Jobs; Report generation etc!

We can take it up at the time of RFP or

when the maintenance contract is

being negotiated232 What is the existing solution NABARD

using for Regulatory Reporting?

Manual

233 Can other technologies be used to

achive Hyper Convergence?

Existing Nutanix preferred

234 What is planned location of DR site? As per bank policy in different

locations

235 What is the SSO technology currently

used by NABARD?

No Single Sign on Technology

236 What is the location of DC Site? No Comments

237 In the EoI document on Page 18, 5.E,

Point 1 the clause states - "Bank

proposes to setup only functional DR

to start with. At later stage Bank may

take decision to setup full scale 100%

DR". Clarify which one to consider.

Functional DR to be upscaled to 100%

DR

238 Is the backup of Data Lake needed

considering that technology is not

available for fault tolerance and roll

backs.

Please suggest a suitable technology

239 Confirm that the Test bed

environement is same as UAT

environment

Yes

240 What is the time duration for RTO and

RPO SLA?

Will be discussed in RFP

241 What is the policy of NABARD to

archive data?

We don’t have a policy yet. Data in the

datawarehouse should have history of

7 years. Older data to be archived

242 Confirm that Analytical MDM solution

is needed.

The only use case for MDM we

currently see is for our partner

institutions. Please suggest if MDM is

mandated243 What is Next Gen DW?

Request you to elaborate the success

fcators ,etc

This is what we would like to have in

future… Features may include

massively parallel processing,

columnar architecture, data

compression capability, commodity

hardware like hadoop, etc. Please

suggest from your own expertise244 Is there any existing solution for risk

management and fraud migitgation

framework? If Yes, please share the

details

We have a quantitive basis for rating

the instituions that we refinance /

lend.

245 What do you mean by external data?

Is it the data available through public

web sites? If yes, are the APIs to be

consumed to get such data or web

scrapping?

NABARD apart from being a refinance

institution has an advisory role on

matters related to agriculture and rural

development, there will be need to

ingest extensive amount of both

structured and unstructured data from

external soruces. For example

geospatial data about soil, weather

conditions, prices of agricultural

inputs / outputs, satellite images,

vegetation coverage, cropping pattern,

agricultural production,

demographics, afforestation, etc

246 Need details on automatic data

collection; does it mean scheduled

data collection without manual

intervention?

Yes

247 Can you please share the source

system details including database

name, exact version and approx. data

volume?

CLMAS and HRMS are on Oracle

ENSURE is on Microsoft SQL Server

Other details will be shared at RFP.

248 It is envisioned that in 7 years there

will be 1000 TB storage requirement.

Does it include archive, backup?

It may be read as 300 TB

249 In how many DCs DMABI solution to

be implemented?

1 DC

250 Is there any existing backup set up /

process in place. If yes, please share

high level information

HP Data Protector

251 Is there any DR set up for existing data

warehouse available? Is yes, is Bank

thinking to extend / leverage that set

up?

There is no existing data warehouse

252 Do you need DR of same capacity as of

production system?

Yes, after full implementation

253 Will the details of all categories of

ingest jobs (sources types/

frequencies/ loads/ etc) be made

available - at least at time of RFP?

It would be part of the RFP. You may

schedule time / effort as part of your

RFP response

254 GUI based framework to configure

sources to DMABI SYSTEM

Please share the functionalities you

want to achive at a high level through

this framework?

We mean that the ETL tool should

have GUI to develop mappings and

include transformations with

minimum coding

255 Trigger mechanisms in identifying any

structural changes at source

Can you help clarify what the

structural changes are?

Any changes in the source systems will

entail changes in the downstream ETL

jobs. Kindly suggest a mechanism to

alert the Data Warehouse team and

also any Standard Operating

Procedure to have in place

256 If the change data capture is in use

now, what's the vendor product? How

many jobs are running on different

CDC tools?

At present there is no CDC

257 Our suggestion is that it would be

appropriate for the bank to specify the

anticipated database technology to be

supported for log scraping rather than

'any type of database'

Please suggest

258 How many source applications are

involved approximately?

4 key internal source applications.

We are yet to identify and finalize the

external sources259 Please reconfirm if the log size is 2TB,

because that would imply that the total

size of daily logs is 10000 *2TB =

20000TB

Should be read as 2 MB

260 Could you please provide use case

about DDL change?

Any new table created in the source

system should trigger the operations

team for possible modification of the

ETL261 Is there any job scheduler used

currently? If yes, what's it? If more

that one, please list as well

There is one job scheduler to run the

end of the day operations for core

banking solution262 Tool should have in-built capability to

optimize/prioritize the ingestion

pipeline system as a whole. For

example, if multiple pipelines are

batched in the system tool should

determine the cost of the pipeline and

optimize & prioritize accordingly

Can you elaborate optimization /

Prioritization requirement with a

scenario?

This was written in the context of big

data ingestion. The data here is

prioritized and categorized, making

data flow smoothly in further layers in

this process flow.

263 The number of data storage layers also

depends on the use cases for the

implemented data e.g. based on

latency, access levels , grain etc . Is it

adequate if the solution capability in

this regard explained with a couple of

examples, while there may be other

constructs as well ?

Yes

264 1. We believe the bank would want

multi-temperature data management

to be within the storage system as well

as across the storage system. Please

confirm.

2. Please confirm what will be the data

movement trigger criteria. E.g. Age of

file and/ or access frequency of file etc.

3. Please confirm if the understanding

of tiers vis a vis storage technology is

correct: -

Tier 1 - Hot Data - Flash Storage

Tier 2 - Warm Data - Spinning Disks

(NLSAS) based storage

Tier 3 - Cold Daya - Tape Storage

4. Please confirm what could be the

likely performance requirement in

terms of latency to be provisioned

from storage system?

We havent categoried our data on the

basis of the access / usage. Please

suggest a framework. Implementation

approach can be part of the RFP

response

265 How many downstream departments

might be engaged approximately? Are

they branch IT or business

department?

30 Head Office departments and 32

Regional Offices

266 Please confirm if distributed storage

area requires a distributed file system

based scale out storage which can

grow in performance and capacity

linearly as per the system demands

and still provides a single global

namespace to DWH application.

This has been kept with big data in

mind.

267 We believe storage replication (RAID)

technology is desired for protecting

data within the system from disk

failures. Also, please confirm if the

RAID feature should be highly resilent

with minimum dual disk protection.

Please confirm if there is a needs to

replicate data using storage based

replication meholodoly across across

another site (e.g. DRsite) or

application level replication is also

acceptable

Please suggest right way to ensure

business resiliency in case of IT

failures

268 Please share the expected backup size

and backup window in the expected

system

Please suggest a solution approach.

The actual statistics may need to be

collected by the vendor at the time of

implementation269 Some errors in storage systems go

unnoticed, without being detected by

the disk firmware or the host

operating system; these errors are

known as silent data corruption.

Please confirm if the storage should

also have the feature to protect from

silent data corruption and end to end

file integrity features

Please suggest whatever it takes to

ensure data quality

270 The given metric is about only the

counts of parallel jobs. However

processor, memory and compute

resources are also determined by the

size and complexity of the jobs, and

the time window to conclude. We

would require additional details in the

count metric provided for sizing/

architecture recommendations. Can

the bank share details of the

complexity mix & matrix and the

definitions thereof.

Please suggest solution approach. The

actual design and implementation of

the ETL / batch jobs will be the part of

the implementation

271 Through which channels reports are

sent out, email, SMS, or some real-

time monitoring dashboard? Please

help clarify

This is in the context of prodution

support and maintenance. Failures of

the critical jobs should be intimated to

the appropriate persons (by email

and/or SMS) and if necessary trigger a

trouble ticket

272 Can you validate the numbers with

respect to job scalability? Our guess is

numbers are quite high.

Since we currently don’t have ETL jobs

running, these numbers can be

estimated as part of the design during

the implementation273 What are these exact products of

vendors of 'data repositories, reporting

tools, data analysis tools and generic

interfaces for data transfer'?

Some of the information based on the

analysis of data in data warehouse

should flow back to OLTPs as

feedback. Please suggest interfaces

274 In Page # 11, point (ii) states "The DR

should be exact replica of primary

DC". It seems these 2 information are

contradictory, please clarify

Initial functional DR to be upscaled to

100% DR in the end state

275 What's the distance between PROD

site and DRsite? What's the network

bandwidth between?

Please suggest your approach. The

actual numbers will be provided at the

time of engagement 276 What is the expected RPO? Please industry standard RPO and

RTO for data warehouses

277 What is the Directory services used by

NABARD? Is it Active Directory or any

other directory services?

We have active directory services

through which the user access to

different applications is managed

278 The cheapest storage available is tape.

We assume that the archival system

needs to ensure that the data archived

to low cost storage is still part of the

same filesystem. Please confirm.

Also, kindly mention the expected

frequency of data archival

We have facility for tape systems. We

are currently moving to disk based

systems

279 What is the current backup solution?

Is the migration of old backup in

scope? Please share details of existing

backup solution.

HP Data Protector

280 Archival & Backup are both different

solutions meeting different set of

requirement. Those compliments each

other. e.g. Archival will reduce

thebackup footprint.

Can you please elaborate with an

example the reconciliation aspect

comprising backup and archival?

Please suggest your approach to

ensure that the backup and archiving

are complete and there is no data loss

281 What is the SLA on Real time

reporting?

Will be defined as part of the RFP

282 Could you please clarify with example

of Back Dated Data change?

We were referring to changes in the

OLTP systems after the data has been

transferred to Data warehouse through

ETL / ELT283 Can you validate the concurrent user

numbers? Number seems quite high

The following are revised indicative

numbers:

Total users - 3000

Power users - 50

Concurrent user - 200284 Could you please clarify with some

case of referential integrity?

Example.. There should not be records

in the fact tabls where corresponding

records don’t exit in the dimension

table. We expect this is likely to

happen since during the traditional

ETL, indexes are dropped on target

tables before the load process

285 Is there any DQ tool being used

currently?

No

286 Can you validate concurrent user

number? It seems quite high.

We agree.. It will not exceed 200

287 Are you looking for a standalone AIM

specific for this DMABI solution? Or

there is already some centralized AIM

at enterprise-level, this newly

introduced AIM of this solution is

required to integrate or sync with this

enterprise-level one? Please help

clarify.

We have an Active Directory system.

Please suggest appropriate access

mangement system for the Data

warehouse

288 Does it mean a new regulatory

reporting framework/ application is

requested to replace the existing one?

Or just keep this regulatory reporting

framework/ application but migrate

the datastore to DMABI? What is the

current framework, from which

product vendor?

Current regulatory reporting is manual

based on excel uploads. Industry

standard solutions are welcome.

289 Is there any approval procedure,

evaluation of sharability, or masking/

transformation prior to extraction self-

service and any data destory procedure

afterwards? Who are the main

requestor and waht's the frequency of

request? Please help clarify.

Please suggest appropriate process

290 Sanbox can be spinned up/ down

based on the need(instead of having a

dedicated one) , this will ensure that

storage and compute are not locked

and optimally used. Request you to

consider dedicated sandbox for

respective user department

Please suggest

291 Could you list all the analytics use-case

or some typical case?

Agriculture, rural, agricultural

markets, financial, etc

292 Do you have existing license for IBM

SPSS? If yes, please advise the exact

version of IBM SPSS? How many IBM

SPSS statistical models are currently

available in Bank environment?

No

293 Are you currently using any BI tool? If

yes, please share name and exat

version? Do you envision to use same

tool in DMABI solution?

SAP Business Objects and R Shiny

294 Please calrify if the bank is using any

tool for Geolocation analysis currently

ISRO Bhuvan Platform

295 Do you require access to BI reports

and dashboards via native iOS& native

Android mobile application?

Reports may need to be provided to

senior managers on Android and iOS

296 Ability to handle and summarize huge

volumes of data.

How do you want vendors to support

this

capability? Does lab report / outputs

work well ? Does

this need to be demonstrated?

Please suggest tools to build analytical

models and ways to operationalize

them

297 "All types of Hardware" is very

generic. Software components for such

specialized job as mentioned in the

EOI, would need specific kinds of

hardware. Could you pls explain what

is the purpose behind asking for this

requirement?

Are you looking at open source as your

first choice for both hardware &

software?

The reason for asking this question is

to be able to migrate to a new

hardware if necessary in future.

We are not looking at open source

solutions unless it is backed by strong

support

298 Is the bidder allowed to have alliances

and subcontracting for the

maintenance?

Will decide at the time of RFP

299 What are the key investments that

bank has made w.r.t tools for below:

Data Integration tool

Database

Reporting tool

Infrastructure monitoring tool

Ticketing / helpdesk tool

Project Management tool

Please suggest with justifications and

drawbacks.

307 Do we need to include application

support after the Go Live. If Yes for

how many years and what will be the

service window, If no, then do we need

to include transition to a party that

will take over the support ?

Will decide at the time of RFP

308 GRC solution could cover more than

required . It talks of regulatory risk

reporting for Basel, RBI, etc. The ETL

tool is required to have this capability.

However, still if there is any other

regulatory compliance for

cybersecurity risk needed, request to

clarify

Please suggest based on your

experience with BFSI sector.

309 Native property of the data warehouse;

from cybersecurity perspective, audit

log format must be compatible with

SIEM and support audit log storage till

the duration needed =pls clarify

Please suggest anything that helps

convert any event data to actionable

security insights

310 Please clarify if any IDAM (Identity &

Access management) solution exists

with NABARD and weather same can

be leveraged by Bidder for user access

applications send out (FTP) extracts of

incremental daily transactions as a csv

file from the ETL tool will pick and

process the extracts. There will be no

native connectivity to the databases

318 looking for on premise or cloud

solution?

Data on Premise.. ETL and BI tools

can be on cloud as long as data does

not persist in cloud319 Is there any technology preeference ? Please suggest

320 what are the various data sources

feeding data and their

types(structured,semi-structured or

unstructured)?

The data sources are the same that are

given in the EoI. For immediate

proposal you can focus on structured
