Crestcom is committed to simplifying the operation of your business and to ensure you can deliver the best leadership experience to your participants. We would like to share some key beneficial changes we will be implementing regarding your video access.

Current Situation

Currently, the Unikey solution is being used around the world and many have experienced challenges with this technology - including update issues, audio/video sync issues, and the inability to pause and resume from the same spot. The Operations team began researching new options late last year and has tested a number of options. Based on initial results, we reached out to the IAC earlier this month to obtain feedback on the best approach. Here is a summary of the feedback we received:

Ease of use & transition between technologies is an indicator of professionalism. If you are able to embed the training videos into your PowerPoint presentation, as an example, it would project a higher level presentation & experience for participants.

Security of brand assets is important to maintain the value of your business.

Crestcom should trust that franchisees will not misuse or share unsecured assets.

An option that would require video streaming would create a significant potential for failure in areas/training locations that do not provide a stable Wifi connection, and therefore cannot be considered a viable solution for many.

Assets that are provided to participants/distributed for public use should always be protected.

In certain parts of the world where electronic theft is prevalent, security measures should be made available.

Result

The Crestcom team agrees with each of these points. We will move forward with a video hosting platform that will offer franchisees the option to download a video in mp4 format and will cease to require the use of the Unikey and Crestcom Video Player. An mp4 video that does not require a password can be played on most standard video players or embedded into your PowerPoint presentations - allowing a seamless transition between slides & video. You will also be able to have several options for redundancy to protect against technology failures.

All public access to videos should be provided through one of the participant portals, which will continue to require a password & internet connectivity. At no time should assets that are not secured be shared with participants.

Additional security measures will be made available for those that require them.

Ultimately, we are confident that this change will make the facilitation experience easier while improving the customer experience - two of Crestcom HQ’s primary goals.

- Monday, 3 April - All BPMV videos will be available by language to all that have completed the Vimeo registration process

- Wednesday, 5 April - A webinar on the topics of Vimeo and video embedding will be presented and recorded

Please make certain that you complete the registration process and notify Aaron (aaron.mcmartin@crestcom.com) of your user name. Please make your user name unique so it is easy to find you – example: First Last Crestcom.

Crestcom provides streaming video content through Vimeo—an online hosting platform that allows

the protection of our video content as well as excellent quality video playback during your sessions.

Permission is granted by user ID, so it is important to set up a free Vimeo account to use this

feature.

a. Visit www.vimeo.com and click the “Join” button.

Step 1 – Create a Vimeo Account

b. Input your First and Last name, your email then a password, and click “Join with email”

c. Once your account is set up, you will be able to access links to videos for BPM, CCE, and Sales

Process. However, it is important to first select a unique Account name so it’s simple to find you

and grant permission.

d. Click the icon at the top right of your screen for your account. If you hover over this icon with

your mouse, it should show your information. Select “Account settings”.

e. You will now be on the Account page. Under “Name”, please create your unique Name.

Recommended: First Last Crestcom

f. Select the blue “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

Send an email letting us know you’ve set up your account and what your Account name is. If you

have a common name, please make your username unique or add “Crestcom” to your name. We

will reply when your access has been set up. Once this is complete, you will be able to access and

stream/download all videos for which you hold a license through COACH.

b. Click the Play button on the title you want to view.

c. Click on the ‘Full Screen’ icon to watch in full-screen mode.

b. Click on the title you want to download

c. Click on the ‘Download’ button below the video

Step 4 – Download Videos through Vimeo

d. Select the resolution setting—HD 720p recommended

e. Once saved, you can move from the “Downloads” folder on your computer to a folder on your

desktop—or wherever is most convenient.

BPM & CCE videos are available through COACH. Under “Products”, select the program you wish to

access.
