WORK EXPERIENCE

CEO & Founder Jeddah Green Quality Consulting and Testing Jan 2015 – Present Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility. Recommend and selected new and replacement test equipment to improve research and testing

capabilities. Plan and coordinate work requiring modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures

and criteria. Test soils and materials to determine foundation strength. Research and investigate project requirements.

Project Advisor & Supervisor Jeddah Ali Almasaad Consulting Office Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 Planned and coordinated work requiring modification of standard engineering techniques,

procedures and criteria. Researched and investigated project requirements. Supervised other engineers and technicians.

General Branch Manager Jeddah Al-Mohana Consulting Office Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 Inspected project sites to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications, safety protocols

and state sanitation standards. Visited project sites during construction to monitor progress and consult with contractors and on-

site engineers. Advised managerial staff about design, construction and program modifications. Researched and investigated project requirements. Supervised other engineers and technicians.

CEO & Founder Jeddah Dr Mohammed Alhaj Hussein Consulting Office Jan 2006 – May 2013 Recruited a team of skilled engineers for our needs to take a project from start to finish. Inspected deteriorated reinforced concrete structures and report the types of cracks, signs, and areas

of corrosion. Also prepare sink hole reports with the recommended Site Assessments and Remediation.

Measured the corrosion potentials and currents of the reinforced bars. Coordinate with corrosion and concrete lab to determine the type of cement, it's strength, PH, chloride ion concentration and carbonation depth in the surrounded concrete. Finally, we coordinated with concrete repair contractors to get the job done.

Coordinated with soil labs pre-construction to perform standard penetration test to determine the types of soil layers, bearing capacity, electrical resistivity, the concentration of chloride and sulphate ions in the subsoil and underground water. As a conclusion on the geotechnical report, I would recommend the type of cement, pozzolan and green concrete mix design that will be cast at the foundation, beams and columns to resist the high salts in the soil and underground water.

Educate our engineers in the office, clients, and co-contractors in the use of local dense green concrete for our harsh environment, with a suitable green concrete mix design, reasonable cover, and enough curing to get a desirable durable concrete.

Deputy Mayor Adviser and Consultant Jeddah Municipality of Makkah Jan 2007 – May 2008 Overlooked & reviewed building and engineering specifications. Implemented the use of green concrete & environmental mix designs. Restructured the Engineering Build Code for Saudi Arabia.

Consultant Tampa, FL Moonlight General Contractors Jan 2005 – Jan 2006 As an expert in corrosion control, my advice was needed for project renovation and repair through

repairing corrosion damage and sinkhole issues. The work involves the following: foundation stabilization and sinkhole repair using underpinning

and green concrete grouting. Site Assessments & Remediation. Final result would have to pass a vigorous test to prove structure is free of issues/damages. Supervised other engineers and technicians.

Consultant Tampa, FL Award Engineering Jan 2004 – Jan 2005 Foundation stabilization and sinkhole repair using underpinning and green concrete grouting. We also provided environmental services and project management.

PhD Researcher London University of Surrey Jan 1995 – Jan 2003 The title of the research was the durability of different types of concrete and corrosion

measurements of steel bars embedded in different reinforced concretes. The research involved determining of the compressive strength, pulse velocity, density and surface

absorption test for hundreds of concrete samples on the short and long term. In addition, corrosion potentials, polarization resistance and currents measurements were taken on

other hundreds of different reinforced concrete samples, exposed to different marine environments during an 8-year research

Teaching and demonstrating concrete laboratory classes for civil engineering undergraduate students.

The work involved extensive tests on fresh and hardened normal and green concrete and explanations of the main factors affecting these properties.

Civil Engineer and Inspector Jeddah The General Directory of the Municipal and Rural Affairs Jan 1986 – Jan 1994 Periodical supervising and inspection for roads and bridges of Western Municipalities. Verifying, Revising, Checking and Accounting the quantities realized of civil work. Approving the contractor's invoices and bells according to work achieved. Checking the monthly report of the contractor's work. Checking of the laboratory tests results for the civil works (Asphalt, concrete, tiles and curbstones

and pavements) of under construction projects and verifying that these results are according to the conditions, standard and the technical requirements.

Solving the problems between the contractor and the municipality which supervises on the daily work by nominating a committee from the party concerned to increase the corporation between them for the use of the project.

Participation in general committees for the final hand over of the projects under my supervision. Evaluating the projects proposals provided by local municipalities related to the Ministry of

Municipality in the Western region and selecting the appropriated one which depends on (cost, time, importance, necessity and its relation with other projects).

Revising progress reports of the projects, the activities and achievement for the Municipalities.
