Document Management - Problem Solving - Reporting - Utilities - City County State Issues - Labor Issues - Regulatory Compliance-QA/QC Electrical infrastructure

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Supervised construction of a 80 MW wind farm. Negotiated Engineering Procurement and Construction Contract for construction of wind farm, supervised 3 full time on site personnel. Result: $128M dollar wind farm project completed on time and on budget.

Oversaw 1st electrolyze wind to hydrogen facility in the United States. Supervised and assured quality and regulatory compliance with DOE and local utility in the infrastructure of the new facility. Result: Completed the facility within budget, published results which became part of DOE road map to a hydrogen infrastructure.

Managed installation of the largest sized land based wind turbine. Physical turbine size involved diverse logistic challenges including road construction, foundation strength and others. Result: Saved 12% of total cost, completion met tax deadlines netting an additional 7% revenue gain.

Created 1st Data Path Gateway for the California independent system operator. Met key stakeholder criteria, selected vendors to establish best mode of data transfer to secured CAISO pathway. Result: 1st use of real time telemetry gauging output of wind farms to system operators.

Spearheaded balance of plant operations for construction of Project Mozart. Renegotiated the generation interconnection agreement with the Utility and the system operator, procured 30 MW wind turbines and negotiated engineering, procurement and construction contracts. Result: Completed a wind farm project on time and on budget.

Directed operations and management. Used real world experience in directing diverse work forces in two separate areas to run wind farms with over 25 employees while holding budgets within goals. Result met or exceeded scheduling goals and budgets.

Maintained current regulatory environment knowledge. Attended updated requirement education for National Electric Regulatory Commission/ Federal Regulatory Energy Commission, implemented new BES/CIP protocols from updates that were received during school. Result: Avoided potential hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and delays.

Managed the development of a thermal natural gas peak power plant. Used extensive contacts to source vendors and consultants for the numerous activities and started construction through completing surveys and preliminary pad grading. Result: Reduced development time line from 5 years to 1.

Developed habitat management plan. Sourced biologists, selected consultants and established a working relationship with US Fish and Wildlife, creating the 1st plan for Altamont Pass wind area raptor death reduction. Result: Provided a safer environment for raptors, eliminated regulatory oversight requirements, avoiding meticulous reporting and potentially costly fines.

Conducted interviews with National, State and Local media. Provided information in person and by phone about wind energy in the Palm Springs Pass, conducting personal tours of wind farms and being available to media enabling media deadlines to be met. Result: Maintained positive relations with media, enabling the challenge of misstatements and wrong impressions.
