EXPERIENCE
PHD NETWORK (NEW YORK, NY)Strategic Media Planning Intern (Summer 2011)Worked alongside the Discovery Communications team (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, I.D.) in creating media plans for upcoming seasons. Most of my time was spent creating target definitions with Comscore and MEMRI, creating screenshot decks and brainstorming with other groups throughout the agency.
THE UPS STORE (BROOKINGS, SD)Print and Customer Service Specialist (October 2010-May 2011)Print shop in Brookings specializing in large format printing, document set-up, binding, shipping, etc. Left job to pursue a career after graduation.
DAKTRONICS, INC. (BROOKINGS, SD)Keyframe Marketing Student (Fall 2008-Fall 2009)Daktronics specializes in bulding indoor and outdoor electronic displays. Keyframe produces custom content shown on the displays. During my time there, I worked on detail oriented content creation guides and put together 400 or more DVD kits during each sport season. Worked with account executives in order to make information clear to clients.
HY-VEE SUPERMARKET (BROOKINGS, SD)Sales Associate (November 2004-October 2008)The years I spent at Hy Vee gave me experience interacting with customers on a daily basis through sacking, running the cash register, translating at customer service and demonstrating food.

South Dakota State University, Brookings (BA, Advertising 2007-2011)Took courses related to advertising research, international advertising, advertising copy and layout, media law, art, media planning, campaigns and sociology. University of Murcia, Spain (ISEP semester abroad. Politics, art & literature 2011)Spent six months abroad taking courses related to photojournalism, latin american political history, hispanic literature and graphic design.
