Provided 1:1 education, social and emotional support to third- grade boys that had a high number of behavioral referrals. Number of referrals decreased, as did the overall behavior in the classroom, as indicated by an increase in learning opportunities and decrease in students sent out for disruptive behavior.

Utilized Step-2 Anti-violence curriculum with three third -grade classrooms. Effectiveness was determined using social-emotional learning tools and assessments

based on student self- report and teacher observations.Student conduct increased and issues of violence decreased.

Created a hands-on science lab that was used as a model to create other elementary science labs in the Duval County school district.

applicable skills and competencies. Adapted the learning environment to accommodate the differing needs of students using
