    Retail Visual Merchandising Course

    DescriptionThe Retail Visual Merchandising course gives an overview of the part VMplays in the retail shops and covers the VM basics from display principlesto fixtures to visual communication to VM standards to the various staffinvolvement roles. Armed with this knowledge, the participant would beable to actively participant in store VM and help present the store in themost attractive way to enhance their selling abilities. In the course, theywill learn through mini lectures, learning journals, group discussion, casestudies and some practical hands-on work.

    Who Should AttendThe target audience would be retail front line staff with not muchbackground in visual merchandising and the role that VM plays inenhancing the store. For executives who are new to the retail trade, thiscourse would give a good overview and easy to grasp VM basics for astart.

    Della Ng is a dedicated trainer, coach, speaker and consultant.Being in the corporate world for the last 20 years, Della has muchexperience dealing with people at all levels and communicates effectivelywith business associates, colleagues, friends and audiences, gaining theirtrust and respect. Her portfolio included key positions in companies suchas Sentosa, G2000 Apparel, Wing Tai, Dickson Marketing and LeonardDrake. Whilst she was in the retail industry, she managed mainly thebuying, operations and marketing functions, driving the business on agrowth strategy.

    A professional trainer and assessor, Della specializes in retail training aswell as sales training, communication skills, leadership and motivation.This is evident in her good rapport with her participants as well as peopleshe meets. Understanding knowledge coupled with action makes learningcomplete and Della seeks to deliver this in her training sessions. Byexposing the participants to a global market and international standards,they are better able to see beyond their shores.

    As a certified trainer with Workforce Development Agency, Della facilitatestraining in core and elective retail modules at the Singapore Institute RetailStudies (SIRS, which is part of Nanyang Polytechnic) from diploma toadvanced certificate to certificate levels. She also delivers a national

    program, Customer Service Professional at the Tourism ManagementInstitute of Singapore and e2i (NTUC Learning Hub) besides SIRS. Shealso had the privilege of training participants from Swatch, Giordano,Courts, Sheng Siong, NTUC Fairprice and the FJ Benjamin Group. Othercorporate clients who have benefited from her training sessions includeCatering Network, The Manhattan Fish Market and W ildlife ReservesGroup, where she designed the course materials customized to theirorganizational needs.

    Being a certified life coach and NLP Master Practitioner, Della is able tomotivate and group coach her participants to have a winner mentality andreach for the stars. The learners appreciate the extra work she puts in toinspire them and often see a change in mindset. Having undergone a

    stringent Trainers Training in Auckland in Aug 2008, Della is more thanwell equipped to wow her learners to move to the next level ofperformance.
