JESUS FULLY REVEALS GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION, AND THE WAY IN WHICH WE NEED TO LIVE TO ENTER INTO

ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the dignity and sanctity within God’s plan of salvation. Specifically, Jesus teaches that the covenant between a man and a woman was instituted by God, and is a lifelong commitment. Husbands and wives, through their love and faithfulness to God and to one another offer a wonderful model of Christian life and love.

"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." - Mk

Thank You is not enough to say for everything you put in the crib for the Queen of Martyrs Respect Life Baby Item Collection!

There were 4 trunk-loads of items taken to the Pregnancy Center. Lots of Diapers, wipes, beautiful handmade blankets, cute clothes, bottles, bibs and much more were all given by YOU!

ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples, “Let the children come to me...for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

This week, please help the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to bring the love and mercy of Jesus to children who are hungry and cold.

VOCATIONS

Matrimony—a beautiful vocation so misused today. Celibacy—a beautiful gift so misunderstood today. Whether we do God’s work in pairs or as a single person in ministry or in a community, we do God’s work because He calls us.

If you feel God is calling you to a Church vocation, call Father Andrew Lauricella-716-847-5535. You can also check out the “Priest of the Month” stories on our website– www.buffalovocations.org!

CATHOLIC CHARITIES

Gift the gift of a home. Catholic Charities works diligently to provide children in need of a family (temporarily or permanently) with a loving home. Catholic Charities provides parent training, home studies, placement and supervision until an adoption is finalized and is willing to be with the family every step of the way. Interested in learning more about fostering or adopting a child? Email [email protected], contact our offices at 856-4494 ext. 360, or come to an informational meeting on October 13th from 10 to 11:30 AM or 6 to 7:30 PM at 525 Washington Street in Buffalo.
