The Reviewer Role
When a student submits for Review, what does this look like on the Reviewer end?
• Depending on email settings, most Reviewers receive an email notification when an Author submits work for Review.
• Reviewers do not fill out a formal evaluation, instead they add feedback/comments to a submitted assignment.
Often Reviewers have more than one role so they need to access the program from the Reviewer tab.
Once they click the program, the Reviewers will see if feedback was requested or if any new comments were added by students. They can also select the types of items to review
and if they would like to show all Authors or only Authors with recent Review requests.
Once they make their selections, they click the Continue button to go to the next page.
On the next page, the work is sorted by student names. Underneath each name is the title of the item and the type of work it is.
On the reviewer end, reviewing items such as lessons, units, or web folios looks different from reviewing items submitted in a DRF
Program.
In a lesson or unit, comments can be entered line by line or there is a General Comments area at the top.
In a DRF Program, comments are entered for each individual requirement. The left side indicates if new feedback has been requested for a particular assignment. There is also an
overall comments area on the top left if they wish to comment on the folio as a whole.
If a reviewer is not sure if an author is enrolled in a particular program or if they need to contact the Program Manager, they can find this information in the
Program Links. They are located on the top right after the program is clicked.
The links also allow reviewers to see the structure of the DRF template by clicking on DRF Setup Details.
