Magna CartaThe Magna Carta was written for Medieval England and was written in the year of 1215

of June.

The Magna Carta limited the power to the english monarchy.

How was this a form of “rule of law”? It was because it was rules for Kings and Queens.

Glorious Revolution

The Glorious Revolution took place in England in 1688.

James II became King and took over England.

The document that changed the power of Kings forever was the Magna Carta.

The English Bill of Rights spelled out the immunities of individual citizens.

and 18th centuries. It’s purpose was to reform society away from irrationality.

The Enlightenment took place in the 18th century.

The reason why the Enlightenment is important is because it is said that the founding fathers believed in the enlightenment.

Charles-Louis is known for believing that the powers of the government should be separated into separate branches.

The reason why Thomas switched the words “Property” to “The Pursuit of Happiness” is because

he thought that the words had more depth and more relevance.
