Multibeam miniature Ka band TWT
APPLICATION
Multibeam miniature travelling wave tube (TWT) of pulse mode (under
development) with low operating voltage are designed to be used in transmitters of
onboard compact coherent Doppler radar for different applications in the frequency
range of 35–40 GHz. The composition of subcomponent also includes the compact
solid state pre-amplifier.
DESCRIPTION
TWT features metal-ceramic design with conductive cooling. 19-beam electron gun
with control low-voltage electrode are used. Slow wave structure is a chain of
coupled cavities with nineteenth drift channels. Electronic beam focusing is realized
by means of PPM system.
