Large-scale 24x7 Transaction Processing service

Uses VME (OVME 5), TPMS, IDMS, Cobol and C

Input from trade users, agents and forwarders:EDI messaging with 6 Community System Providers andWeb, e-mail and XML via Customs’ Electronic Data Capture Services

Links to many other Customs’ systems for trader registration, UK tariff, accounting, trade stats etc.

On-line declaration response better than 2 secs
