Given this high stakes reality for students, it is critical that each person prepares ap- propriately. Below are some tips. 1. Practice, practice, practice. Most teachers design lessons that teach students the skills needed to pass the test. The best practice is outstanding classroom attendance and diligent completion of homework. 2. Eat a good breakfast the morning of the test. 3. Do not drink beverages for an hour before the test and go to the bathroom before the test begins. A full bladder impacts concentration and lowers performance. 4. Get a full nights sleep. For high school students nine hours is a must every night. 5. Wear comfortable clothing. 6. Pace yourself. There is plenty of time to complete the test so relax and focus. 7. Review your answers. This is one of the most helpful methods for clarifying what you have written. Tracking SENIOR Grades is Critical

The second semester is here and there are 50 days left be-fore graduation. It is critical that all seniors track whether they have met their credits for graduation. It is also im-portant that they are passing their required classes this se-mester. Parents and students can log into Power School to check the current grades. Inevitably, each year, students wait until the last minute to finish a course online or credit recovery and jeopardize their participation in the graduation ceremo-ny. Parents and students please pay close attention to these end of the year requirements.

Good Afternoon,

My name is Heidi Dailey. I am President of the Detroit Arsenal’s Boys and Girls Club

Keystone. Every year we participate in a community project. This year, we have decided to re

-raise awareness for Flint and their water crisis. To play our part, we are asking our commu-

nities to donate cases of water bottles. Richmond High School will be accepting water bottles

from April 9th to April 20th.

Every case of water donated will count as .5 hours of community service for the stu-

dents to go towards their graduation service hours. The cases of water can be dropped off in

the Richmond High School office. In order for the hours to count, the student must fill out a

service form and have Mrs. Michon sign the form.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected] or Mrs. Michon at [email protected].

Thank you,

Heidi Dailey
