Clifford Supports RIF!In May, 2003, Scholastic issued a $50,000 check toRIF, representing proceeds from sales of the Cliffordthe Big Red Dog Deluxe Anniversary Edition. For eachedition sold, Scholastic donated $1 to RIF. Happybirthday, Clifford!

RIF Coordinator Barbara Arel shared the following details from a recent themedistribution:

Our school enjoyed "Be a Reader-Saurus." To get the classes excited about theupcoming RIF distribution, I made paper maché dinosaur eggs with littledinosaurs inside. Each class had color-coded clues hidden around the schoolwhich led to their eggs. A RIF committee, including teachers, parents, grand-parents, and representatives from the Kiwanis clubs (our sponsors) met to selectthemes for the distribution. The selections included several dinosaur books—but books about snow, fire trucks, and Clifford were just as popular!
