Rio De Janeiro is located on Brazil11.7 Million people on Rio De Janerio, more than one million people living on slumsSlums is a thickly populated, run-down, squalid part of a city, inhabited by poor peopleThere is Four types of slums -Squatter Settlements(Favelas) -Illegal Subdivisions-Invasions-CorticosSlums are located on western Zones-Favelas: Flat land-Illegal Subdivisions: Fast Zone, Motorways-Invasions: Risky Areas, Viaducts, Edge of railways, Streets Avenues -Corticos: Central Areas
Why? Slums were first created by the result of industrialiazation attracted new migrant populations to the city Social classes Economical society

Brazil Slums can be seen as a result of the unequal distribution of wealthBrazil one of the most economically unequal country in the world5- 6 thousand children are armed Drug use is highly concentrated in these slums and are ran by local gangsCocaine trade affects Brazil and in return its favelas are ran by drug lords
Living Conditions
When it rains the slums get floodedHouses are made out of non durable materialsTransportation in slums is difficultWindows and doors are always open which leads to lack of privacy
Suggestion
oThe government should:1) Create new jobs 2) A way of education 3) Clean the slums4) Build new homes5) Reinforce laws/rules
Conclusion
Parents should focus their children into education instead of violenceIf people paid attention to these problems around the world we wouldn’t have slums right now
