The last two years have forged the characteristics I need to become a global leader. From standing at the top of the Dent du Midi, to being admitted to university, these opportunities would have all been impossible without the Aiglon community and their generosity. The friendships I have made, the teachers who have accompanied me on this journey, and the place that I would gladly call home will always remain a part of me. I send you my sincere gratitude as I head to NYU Abu Dhabi to major in Applied Mathematics. I am so thankful for the excellent academic education I received at Aiglon, but the benefits of Aiglon go way beyond this. The transition from rural Siem Reap, Cambodia to Aiglon has taught me to dream the impossible. The day of my first Aiglon expedition was also the first time I saw snow falling from the sky. Since then, I have had many first time experiences which have helped me develop into the driven and independent woman I am today. Next year I am going to Kenyon College to pursue my dream of working in International Relations and women’s empowerment within the UN. I promise to pay forward the opportunities I have been given.

When I received the acceptance letter from Aiglon I knew my life was about to change. I could not have imagined to what extent! Learning to ski, becoming House Captain of the kindest and warmest house - Le Cerf, developing my values for life and discovering my passion for Mathematics; these past two years at Aiglon were truly remarkable and memorable. At Aiglon I grew, developed and thrived, and ultimately achieved heights I would never have thought possible. I now face an exciting future as I head to Stanford University. I am forever grateful!
