Chiclana de la Frontera is all about the beach. Playa de la Barossa runs for 6 kilometres, and is one of the best stretches in Andalucia. One half is backed by a prom, where restaurants serve fresh-off-the-boat seafood. The other half is wilder, with sand dunes looking out over pine woods and salt marshes. In the town itself, a 5-minute drive away, narrow streets and cobbled courtyards are lined with tapas bars and sherry bodegas.
