River Bluff Staff Updates

Thank you for your patience these last couple of weeks as we have dealt with snow, low wind chillvalues and, most recently, ice. The State of Wisconsin has a minimum number of hours of pupil instruction that school districts mustmeet each year, and it has not waived any of those requirements for the 2018-19 school year.Although we build snow days into our District calendar every year, Thursday’s (February 7)cancellation means that we now need another day’s worth of classes to meet our state requirements. As a result, our District will hold regular classes on Monday, April 1, 2019, instead of the scheduledprofessional development day for staff. Students should come to school that day as they normallywould, and our buses will operate under their normal schedule. We realize April 1 falls just after springbreak, but after considering our options, we concluded using April 1 as our make-up day would allowus to maximize instructional time and avoid having to extend the school year. We will send outreminders closer to the date, but we wanted you to have as much advance notice as possible. Thankyou for your patience and understanding.

River Bluff's Got TalentRiver Bluff staff and students are gearing up for the annual River Bluff's Got Talent with an all schoolassembly on Friday, February 15th. There will be a special family performance on Thursday, February14th at 7:00 pm for family members of performers in the River Bluff cafeteria. Good luck to all ourperformers.

Mr. Chris SchultzRiver Bluff Middle Schoolwelcomes Chris Schultz toour building as the long termsubstitute teachers for TimKoplin. We are thrilled tohave Ms. Schultz with us forseveral weeks, as his districtand math knowledge madehis transition easy. On his offtime, Chris enjoys basketball,�shing and time with hisfamily. Please join me inwelcoming Chris to ourbuilding.

Ms. Karly CampbellRiver Bluff welcomes KarlyCampbell in her rolesupporting students onSarah Heili's caseload insixth grade Red Block. Karlymay be a familiar face tomany, as she has been withus substitute teaching onmany occasions. When notat River Bluff, Karly enjoysanything related to beingoutdoors and on the water.
