WelcomeThe Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists
The best place for Rockies Geoscience
Greetings!
We are thrilled to have you join a vibrant community of geologists spanning the Rocky Mountain region. The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists is a non-profit organization whose purposes are to promote interest in geology and allied sciences and their practical application, to foster scientific research and to encourage fellowship and cooperation among its members.
RMAG has just over 2000 members, about 65% whom reside in the greater Denver metro area; the remainder live elsewhere in Colorado, in a dozen other states and several other countries. Members work in such diverse fields as:
o Basic research (government and private)
o Petroleum exploration and production
o Mining exploration
o Environmental geology
o Hydrology (ground water, etc.)
o Teaching (high school to university levels)
Included in this packet are some tools for you to get acquainted with RMAG. As you’ll find out, the majority of your resources can be found on our website www.rmag.org however as a team, our staff is here for support.
Thank you for joining RMAG. We hope you take advantage of all RMAG has to offer you and to see you at one, if not more, of our events.
