Option 1:Demonstration with DWR in

San Pablo– and Suisun Bays

• RMP staff will accompany DWR on their October cruise

• Sample 4 sites each in San Pablo-, and Suisun Bays 

- DWR: benthic samples - RMP sediment chemistry and toxicity samples

using current RMP protocols • Estimated Cost: $47,000

Option 2:DWR Collaboration and RMP Sampling

Entire Estuary

• Option 1 and additional RMP benthic sampling

• Four RMP sites in each of the five remaining Estuary segment (Extreme So. Bay, So. Bay, Central Bay, Carquinez, and Rivers).

• Estimated Cost: $81,000

Option 3: RMP Sampling with S&T

• RMP demonstration during S&T summer cruise

• Collect benthic samples at all 27 sites where sediment chemistry and toxicity are scheduled to be collected

• Estimated Cost: $57,000

Schedule

• Sampling and analysis in 2007

• Assessment and report in 2008, within 3 months of receipt of data.

• Products:

- demonstration of collaboration with DWR - test sediment assessments using proposed SQO methods
