Smoke, Sweat & Tears road-trip ramblings…

Crossing the border into the mountain kingdom of Lesotho….

Woke up on the 31st May at six in the morning with the

#ultimatehangover… the previous night at 80’s hotel was

rough, but we would see an even bigger party at the next

location!

Ten thirty and we are on the road again, bless your socks

Renault SA for giving us the #ultimatecontrol

By two that afternoon we are in Lesotho baby!

What a smiley nation!

 31 st  May 2013 to 6 th  June 2013

After a quick stop in Maseru we head off towards the

mountains. Throughout our journey so far we have had this

travel companion who is quite possibly the most ideal you

could get. Never talks back and is as quiet as a mouse…it does

however take "EYE SPY" to a completely new level!

Getting into some serious back roads now and putting the

Koleos through its paces on the Lesotho passes…

The scenery is incredible and the air is thin,

How far into the hills will we go?

After twists & turns with a good few dips & bumps thrown in,

the convoy arrives at Malealea Lodge… it is a thing of beauty!

Eleven in the morning on the 1st of June and we are off on a

walk into the local community to see the good work of good

people.

By midday we have reached the local community "mall" - this

even makes Valley Land in Fish Hoek seem like a five star

resort…

to drink the local tipple of Sorghum beer and party with the
