Project Outline

Objective – Observe and select an exterior view of a scene or building on a day when the sun has cast interesting shadows. The scene must be within Vermilion. Render the subject in a variety of ink and grey markers to demonstrate the drama that shadows are able to convey.

Deliverables – Finished rendering mounted on board labeled with identifying title.

Design a fully sustainable home and studio for a Japanese flower arranging teacher and her film maker husband.

Deliverables - concept statement, site plan: demonstrating relationship to site & day-lighting, material board, rendered floor plan, rendered landscape plan, a scaled model: demonstrating site location, floor plan & landscape plan, a rendered perspective, poster outlining sustainable strategies implemented in the design, complete set of specs, design presentation highlighting key elements of the design.

Project Outline

To design a restaurant using a given floor plan of a space in Vancouver viewing the inlet. Developing a strong concept throughout the space. Including a menu, food choice design and consideration of accessibility. Adequate seating for 150 patrons not including bar and patio.

Deliverables – working drawings, rendered presentation drawings, direct perspectives, rendered perspective, digital material and furniture board, complete set of specifications, presentation PowerPoint.
