Composite DoorsSo just what makes the Rockdoor composite door so tough ?
Rockdoors are made from scratch & not cut down to size from a composite door blank which actually reduces the strength of a door. With a Rockdoor a metal frame is made to the actual door size so that the same size inner frame is on every door made.
Note the metal frame that runs through the door in this corner sample. The metal frame is made first so the doors strength remains constant.
Also, there are no glazing cassettes as the glass is built into the door so this again dramatically improves the strength & integrity of the door and increases thermal & acoustic efficiency. Basically, the glass is built into the door during manufacture rather than held in by what we call glazing cassettes which are a weak point in a composite door.
