Igneous

•When lava hardens on the top of the ground, it becomes igneous rock •Magma under ground cools slowly, which makes crystals grow slowly •Here are some types of igneous rocks: • Rhyolite•Obsidian• Basalt•Granite •Gabbro

Metamorphic

•A metamorphic rock is made when great heat and pressure turn one rock into another type of rock•The rocks do not melt, or they would be turned into igneous rock•Some types of metamorphic rocks are: gneiss, slate, quartzite, marble, schist• Metamorphic rocks look like there is toothpaste in the middle
