The beautifully decorated Victorian lounge area within the Pavilion is an ideal space for breakout areas where you and your guests can catch up, sign the guest book and check the seating plan before sitting down to dinner.The Pavilion’s glass walls and doors offer amazing views of the woodlands, Irish Sea and beyond, also featuring its own private rest rooms with disabled access, on-site kitchen and bar for a more tailored experience. The reclaimed wooden floor is perfect for dancing the night away.

Emma and myself got married here three weeks ago and people are still

raving about the day, the grounds, the food, the accommodation, and the staff

of Tinakilly, who not only made sure that we had everything we wanted on

the day but also our guests, who have been glowing in their comments about

all the staff there on the day itself and the following day. From the day we

booked the venue Shauna and Michael were an absolute pleasure to deal

with, nothing was to much for them and they made our preparations so easy.

We cannot thank them enough, but we soon learned on our many visits to

Tinakilly that the helpfulness and friend liness is ingrained in each and every

one of the staff at the venue, they are a credit to the house and to Norma

and Denis, who themselves lead by example, and were extremely generous

with their time, every time we visited, we could not have been welcomed any

better. The venue on the day itself was perfect, the marquee, the house and

the grounds looked fabulous and the food and the drink were delicious and

plentiful! We cannot recommend Tinakilly enough, for any occasion, and we

are looking forward to our next visit there. Thank you again to all the staff,

you made our day one of the most enjoyable of our lives.

The Halpin Suite boasts a stunning sea view to the east of the house, along with exquisite Victorian architecture. French doors give direct access to the garden and large bay windows flood this room with natural light. Classical french style in abundance, East facing over the gardens to the sea. The Halpin Suite is perfect for drinks receptions, civil ceremonies or smaller gatherings and private dining.

We got married in this wonderful hotel on the

1st of July. The hotel staff were amazing and

everyone was treated like royalty.

The food and surroundings were out of this world

and the hotel went above and beyond to make our

special day perfect. So many of our wedding guests

couldn’t believe how stunning the place was.

The Brunel Suite is a wonderful and warm adaptable suite suitable for civil ceremonies of up to 160. A bright and beautiful breakfast room in the morning after your celebration.

Previously Captain Halpin’s Library, the Mizen Room enjoys views of the gardens. This room is particularly suited to hosting small cocktail parties and private dinners for that extra special occasion. The Mizen can accommodate up to 20 guests comfortably.

Originally the Drawing Room and situated in the west wing of the house, the Asgard Room displays a beautiful Italian marble fireplace. The Asgard overlooks the lawns and offers a unique and intimate atmosphere for a truly memorable dining experience for private entertaining of up to 35 guests.

Our Guest Rooms & Suites Tinakilly has 52 luxurious and spacious bedrooms in true Victorian period style consisting of 15 Deluxe Bedrooms, 10 Four Poster Suites, 22 Junior Suites, 4 Captain Suites and a Bridal Suite. The elegant bedrooms reflect the Victorian period and also provide all modern comforts.

The Captain Suites at Tinakilly House, are our most spacious rooms featuring antique furniture, king size beds and living room area with a cosy fireplace in selected suites. Many of the Captain Suites enjoy incredible views over the gardens to the Irish Sea and beyond.

The Junior Suites are very spacious rooms with picturesque views over the Irish Sea or our mature landscaped gardens. Many have four poster or half tester beds, while others feature queen size and single beds allowing for three guests or ideal for a small family.

The Deluxe Bedrooms are all beautifully appointed with antique furniture. They are large comfortable bedrooms featuring queen size or twin beds and are decorated in keeping with the Victorian style of the hotel.

The name Tinakilly is derived from the townland of Tinakilly on which the house is built. It comes from the Gaelic; Ti = house. na = of the. Coille = wood. So the whole name in Irish means "House of the Wood".

Some of the trees in the garden appear to predate the house which took ten years to build and was completed in 1883.Tinakilly was constructed for Captain Robert Halpin.

Tinakilly gardens are on 16 acres and the entire estate sprawls over 150 acres, with our woodland walks, lawn terraces, ideal for a game of boules or croquet, rose gardens perfect for your civil ceremony and our Halpin lawn boasting sea views ideal for your drinks reception.

Our team of gardeners ensure Tinakilly is surrounded by beautiful blooms creating multiple photo opportunities. In spring Tinakilly is surrounded by 100,000 daffodils, tulips and bluebells. In Summer Tinakilly bursts into colour with varieties of antique roses and seasonal flowers surrounding the house and gardens. The walled herb garden provides the kitchens with fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables. In Autumn the gardens change colour again to autumnal reds and oranges, and in Winter a large Christmas tree adorns the foyer with holly and poinsettias to add colour through out the house.

Relax and unwind with an Aromatherapy massage or facial. Highly recommended for you and your guests during your stay to take a minute out, relax and enjoy the surroundings. Myself and my husband Stephen got married here

5 weeks ago today!! From start to finish I really

couldn’t recommend the place highly enough. From

the moment we booked the venue we were at ease

and knew we had made the right choice.

The staff, uniqueness, homeliness and ambience

of the hotel and grounds are second to none.

The staff, in particular Shauna our co ordinator and

Marion were so friend ly, welcoming and helpful.

Nothing was too much for them....

The whole weekend was fantastic. We had a second

day barbecue which couldn’t be faulted. The food -

top notch and plenty to go around.

The reception we received from all the staff the entire

weekend was unreal. We were made to feel at home.

Overall for anyone considering this hotel for a

wedding / lunch/ staff don’t hesitate!!

we will definitely be back down.
