LOCATION

Location options include the 13 km beach or one of our resort’s gardens. We recommend a wedding ceremony with the beautiful Andaman Sunset as backdrop plus the cooler temperature.

CEREMONY

Our package includes the venue with podium set-up and floral decoration. A Master of Ceremonies will conduct the wedding vows, which may be adjusted according to the couple’s desires. Kindly advise us in advance if you require any special arrangements.

RECEPTION

We recommend serving cold and refreshing drinks, such as Fruit Daiquiris or Champagne next to the wedding location, whilst guests can mingle and relax.

WEDDING PACKAGE

This traditional Thai ceremony is performed by 3 Buddhist monks. It begins with a sacred chanting by the monks, followed by the blessing of the bride and the groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon, which signifies that although the individual identities of these two people are kept, their destinies are now linked. This is followed by the Head-Monk pouring blessed water over the heads of the bride and groom, which is then collected in a bowl of ornately arranged flowers. The guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on a water-blessing altar.

CEREMONY

The package comprises of all decorations at your selected venue, such as flowers, set-up for incense and candles, sitting area for Monks, water blessing altar and decorated entrance arch. While ring exchange is not traditional for the Buddhist wedding, we will happily provide the required set-up should you wish to include this.

Beach: This is the most popular venue for a wedding ceremony or wedding reception. It is set right on the sandy beach with swaying palm trees, turquoise sea, and gentle breeze. For up to 150 people.

Poolside: It is a stunning venue for a wedding dinner overlooking the Andaman Sea and with the beautiful pool and Sukhothai pond set as backdrop. For up to 150 people)

Chong Fa Ballroom: An air-conditioned venue perfect for an elegant wedding dinner reception. The venue can cater from 50 to 350 people with creative decorations and themes.

Rain Forest: A dream-like location is perfect for couples, who desires to wed within the tropical rainforest. The venue is suitable for a wedding ceremony, lunch or high tea (not available for dinner). It is a 45- minutes scenic drive from the resort. ( for up to 100 people)

Photographer Local photographer on standby for 2 hours, taking a maximum of 100 pictures. Within 24 hours the photographer will deliver a CD-ROM with the digital pictures, glossy printed pictures and one framed picture. The CD-ROM is compatible with major Photo labs for printing. The price excludes all prints aside from the thumbnails Videographer Local videographer on standby for 2 hours taking a maximum of 60 minutes tape. Within 36 hours the videographer will deliver a VHS videocassette with the images taken. Please note that the price does not include any particular scene edit, nor any modifications on the sound track. Additional standby hour for Photographer and Videographer Additional standby hour over the above mentioned packages will be charged accordingly. Incomplete hours will be charged in full. Below are steps to follow for having your wedding validated by the Authorities in Thailand and recognised abroad: 1. Issue the certificate Letter for bride and groom from the respective Embassy of your

country in Thailand (in English Language).

2. The Certificate Letter of bride and groom issued in English language by the embassies has to be translated into Thai language by any Law office in Bangkok.

3. The original documents from point 1 and 2 must be validated and stamped (on every page) by The Ministry of Foreign Affair in Bangkok. Note: The valid passports of bride and groom must be shown for steps 1, 2 and 3. To complete the above, please allow 3 working days in Bangkok. It is strongly recommended to make appointments with the Authorities in order to have the documents issued on time.

4. Once arrive in Khao Lak, the documents will be given to the Takua Pa City Hall a few days prior to the wedding (according to check-in date) for issuing the Wedding certificate (in Thai language). The bride and groom have the option to go to the City Hall for signing the official documents, or calling the Authorities to come to the hotel for signing the documents after the wedding ceremony.

Point 4 will be handled by Le Méridien Khao Lak and is subject to a fee of THB 6,500 for both options. Please note that the hotel is not responsible for completing steps 1 to 4; the bride and groom are solely responsible for issuing the correct documents. Steps 1 to 4 are not required if the bride and groom do not need a legal paper certifying their marriage.

AMENDMENT

An amendment of the wedding day is allowed, but subject to time of request and confirmation by the hotel. Once amendment is made and confirmed in writing, the cancellation & no show policies will be applied based on the new date.
