Romans 12:9-16 (NIV)

“9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but

keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in

affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.

Practice hospitality.

“14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those

who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one

another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.

Do not be conceited.”

“Advancing God’s Kingdom”• Its about us being a part of God’s plan of sharing

Jesus Christ with others.• It’s to reveal God’s plan of salvation for the world.• It’s about sharing God’s truths to people so that

they can understand and experience the same loving relationship with Jesus Christ, that we experience.

• It’s about how we care for people, showing them the love of Christ through our actions.

• It’s about using our gifts and resources, to help the church body and others in need.

Jesus also tells us to:

• Care for the poor, the widows and orphans, • We need to feed the hungry, • Provide shelter for the homeless, • Tend to the crippled, the lame, and the blind, • Tend to those who are sick.

gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of
