Purpose Learn how to market effectively for a variety of audiences and purposes.
Project
•Develop an advertising campaign for Colegio Roosevelt, focusing on our key values•Organize students into ad teams of no more than four•Read “To Sell is Human” (Dan Pink) along with a articles about culture & values•Research the most important values of our school through interviews, observation, etc.•Watch various advertisements and the techniques they use to get the audience’s attention and to persuade them.•Develop a pitch for two different ads that will be presented to the class and members of our community.•Produce the one that received the best response and presented it to our community.
Outcomes
ENGLISH• develop in students the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of a variety of individual texts and make
relevant connections.• encourage students to think critically about the different interactions between text, audience and purpose.
