Roots Session 4 Member’s Small Group A SX WEEK SMALL GROUP EXPERIENCE FOR PEOPLE CURIOUS ABOUT BEING A MEMBER OF TRINTY CHURCH Just as every parent wants their children to be a good person, and have good character, God as our Father has great ambitions for us to. His ambition is nothing less that to recreate us once again into His very own image. In short – He wants us to be godly. Be a Great Person A Christian Discipleship Paradigm Most of us are too modest to claim to be great as we are right now. At the same time, most of us also have aspirations to be better than we are. Good news! God has the same aspirations. But how? Sometimes we resolve to change, aspire to change ourselves. Often our resolutions fall short. At other times, people really do change for the better. One of the most basic descriptions of a Christian is a person who has “repented”, which means “to change” Here’s a Biblical paradigm of how God forms us : Revelation (information and inspiration) + Faith (belief and action) = Glory (godly character) God’s universe creating word is still being revealed to us through Scripture, Christ, Creation, and other ways. BeginsinWorship Thelifere-creatingWordofGodwillbepreachedeveryweekatTrinityChurch.It’sourhopethateachweekyou’reinspired,informed,encouraged,orconvicted.LifestyleofWorshipItbeginsinworship,butthat’sjustabeginning.Oneofourworshipvaluesittolivealifestyleofworship.IfGod’sWordisthebreadweliveby,andSundaymorningworshipwastheonlybreadyouate,youwouldbeprettyskinny–younightnotevensurvive!Youneedmore.That’swhyyouneedtoengageChristiandiscipleshippracticesduringtherestoftheweek.
