Ross Hill Public School Monday 10th February 2020 Term 1 Week 3 Swimming Carnival. Information and permission notes have been sent home for the carnival which will be held Friday 14 February. ALL students in Years 3-6 are expected to participate. Children will be bused to and from the pool and the cost will be covered by the school. Entry into the pool is $3.40 for students and $2.20 for spectators. Students are asked to please return the notes and payment to class teachers. We are looking forward to a great day. Leadership Badge Ceremony Parents, family members and friends of our Year 6 leaders are invited to our Annual Leadership Badge Presentation Ceremony. This assembly will be held on Thursday 20 February at 12:45 in our school hall. Our SRC and Year 6 student leaders will undertake their leadership path and be presented with their badges. Students are reminded to come in full school uniform including black shoes for the ceremony. Uniforms Ross Hill students and staff are very proud of our school uniform and students are expected to be in full school uniform every day. Our uniform unites us and creates equality and pride in our school and our achievements. Our Ross Hill hat is part of the school uniform. If you need a new school hat they are available from the school P&C clothing shop at the canteen at a very reasonable price. Students are reminded that they need their school hat everywhere even during winter and especially if they are representing their school. Bus Travel Students travelling to school on Inverell Bus Service Town 1,2,3,4 or 5 bus who are eligible for free travel will need to collect their bus pass from the Inverell Bus Service office at 25 Brissett Street. Canteen Welcome to Ross Hill. The Ross Hill P&C provides a fulltime canteen for our students. All profits are returned to the school to purchase resources. Thank you for your support of the canteen and the school. A big thank you to our volunteers who come along to help in the canteen. If you can spare a few hours and would like to volunteer please contact Annie. 2020 Dance Camp The 2020 Dance Camp is being held at Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Camp, from Sunday 5 to Thursday 9 April. The camp provides quality dance education and opportunities for students to be selected for Regional Ensembles who will perform at the Regional Dance Festival in Tamworth. Dance Camp caters for students from Years 5-12. The cost is $440.00 and students will be requested to make their own way to and from the camp.
