A visit to the former Stasi prison museum or the Societät Rostock maritime museum is highly recommended.

Accessible The station tunnel Warne-münde is not yet acces-sible. We recommend the following wheelchair accessible signage (see map on page 10-11):

A – direction city centre/station Warnemünde: Exit Warnemünde Cruise Center to the right, walk along-side the river until the end of the pier and cross over the ramp, walk straight ahead and turn left

B – station „Warnemünde Werft“: exit Warnemünde Cruise Center to the left, approx. 1,200 m

Beach accesses suitable for wheel-chairs: No. 4, 6, 14, 18

Beware of seagulls – No feeding!

Seagulls have become so gent-le and are not afraid to catch fish sandwiches or ice-cream cones out of your hand. Because of this partly aggressive behaviour of the sea-gulls Rostock has decreed a feed ban for seagulls since July 2009. Violations will be charged by a fine of up to € 5,000.

Las gaviotas se han familiarizado ya tanto con las personas que no dudan en quitarle de la mano su bocadillo de pescado o helado para comérselo. Este comportamiento tan agresivo ha motivado la prohibición de alimentar gaviotas en Rostock desde julio de 2009. Cualquier infracción en este sentido será sancionada con una multa en metálico de hasta 5.000 €.
