#NPLNSWCLUB WELCOME
Good evening everyone and welcome to tonight’s clash at Lambert Park.
We enter each game full of confidence as we grow week by week in this competition.
We’re getting to a period now where the players know what the NPL is about and how they’re expected to perform, and I’m pleased at their progression and the performances we’re turning in.
It’s only small lapses that have seen us concede in recent weeks, as we look otherwise assured each match, and I’m confident that in time we’ll stamp out these lapses and climb our way up the ladder.
Manly United tonight will be another stern test for the team, but one I and the players are relishing. Playing against the reigning Champions is always a marker of where your team is at and I’m interested to see how we compete this evening.
I’d like to thank all our Members and fans for their backing during the season and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the stands again tonight.

NPLNSW.COM.AU 1ST GRADE MATCH PREVIEW
Sydney FC will be hoping to claim all three points when they host reigning National
Premier Leagues NSW Champions Manly United FC at Lambert Park on Saturday night.
Rob Stanton’s side has only shown glimpses of their best football so far this campaign but hope to prove their doubters wrong with a positive showing against Manly.
One positive from the Young Sky Blues this season has been the emergence of young attackers Hassan Jalloh and Jeremy Cox.
Both have lead the line with aplomb creating dangerous mismatches for opposition defences.
Captain Sam McIllhatton has been the glue in midfield for Sydney FC and if his recent form is anything to go by he will be one of the team’s best performers.
Manly come into the game on the back of an incredible 3-3 draw with Rockdale City Suns.
Down 3-0 after only 30 minutes, Manly turned the game on it’s head to score three unanswered goals.
Nikola Taneski was the driving force in the Manly attack with his slick dribbling and great pace too much for Rockdale to handle.
With Scott Balderson out injured, the responsibility falls on Taneski to help fellow attacking threat Brendan Cholakian carry the load.
Manly appears to have finally rediscovered their groove but the fact they conceded three goals in thirty minutes will be a major concern for coach Paul Dee.
Sydney FC will need to make a similar fast start if they are to win, but more importantly they will need to be ready for a ferocious fight back from a talented Manly attack late in the game.

#NPLNSWMATCH REVIEWSAPIA Leichhardt Tigers 2-3 Sydney FC, 1.30pm at Lambert Park
Sydney FC defeated APIA Leichhardt Tigers 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Lambert Park to keep up the pressure on competition leader Sutherland Sharks.
The Sky Blues had sensationally dropped points last weekend in a 5-5 draw with Bonnyrigg White Eagles but were too good for APIA Leichhardt with Hamish Lamberton’s brace and Jordan Swibel’s strike moving Sydney FC into third place.
The double for Lamberton is his seventh and eighth goals of the campaign – the former Sydney United 58 frontman now takes outright lead in the race for the golden boot.
APIA Leichhardt were on the scoresheet through Gino Cerasoli and Matthew Taverniti but were unable to avoid their second defeat of the season.
Franco Consentino’s side face Manly United in a catch up fixture on Wednesday night before facing competition frontrunners Sutherland Sharks next Saturday afternoon
Sydney FC host Manly United next Saturday night at Lambert Park.
Manly United 1-1 Rockdale City Suns, 5.00pm at Cromer Park
Manly United and Rockdale City Suns settled for a 1-1 stalemate at Cromer Park on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts were on the scoresheet through William Martin but Rockdale’s Dimitrios Petratos notched his second goal of the season to earn a point for the City Suns.
The result leaves in tenth position ahead of a crunch match with bottom placed Sydney Olympic next Sunday lunchtime
Manly are level with the Suns on five competition points but a vastly superior goal difference sees the Cromer Park outfit in eighth position.
United take on APIA Leichhardt Tigers in Wednesday night’s catch up fixture before heading to Lambert Park for a meeting with Sydney FC on Saturday.

NPLNSW.COM.AU U20’S MATCH PREVIEWSydney FC will look to put a rocky recent run of fixtures behind them for the visit of Manly United at Lambert Park on Saturday evening.
The Sky Blues got back to winning ways thanks to a 3-2 victory over APIA Leichhardt Tigers last Saturday but previously surrendered points in high-scoring draws with Bonnyrigg White Eagles and Sydney United 58.
Those 5-5 and 2-2 results for Sydney mean the side currently has the poorest defensive record (17 goals conceded) in the competition despite sitting comfortably in third position, and although the home side will enter the clash with Manly as favourites another complacent defensive showing could see them punished again.
Manly have been unable to gather any significant momentum so far this season and may lack the flamboyancy of the Sky Blues, but have equally shown they can be a rigorously difficult challenge for anyone.
The Cromer Park outfit has conceded just 6 goals in their five matches this campaign and may just have the formula to grab a victory to kick start their season.
