Dear Round Rock Ranch Residents,
By now you have received your letter from our new management company Spectrum Association Management. Your Round Rock Ranch HOA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to change management companies. We made a mistake with the last company as most of you know. We have heard your complaints, tried to work out the issues and decided a change is better soon than later for our neighborhood.
We look forward to a long and lasting relationship with Spectrum and hope you will be satisfied with our decision. If not, please let us know, we appreciate your feedback and need it to be able to operate the association to your expectations. We all live here in Round Rock Ranch because we choose to and want to work together to make it the best place to live and raise our families.
Now that the pools are open the board has made the decision to hire a security patrol for the amenity centers at night. We have contracted with Travis Global Security to have a security guard patrol the pool, playground and parking lots of both pool areas several times a night 7 days a week. If you see any suspicious activity inside or around the pool areas between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. please call them at 512-920-7610 and report it. The pools close at 11 p.m. and no one should be inside or outside the area after that time. You may also call Round Rock Police Department non-emergency number to report any suspicious activity as well at 512-218-5500.
Please be sure to send your payments to the new address in the coupon booklet. If you use on line banking you will need to update your send to information. Please go to www.spectrumam.com and check out our new company, there are lots of new options for us to utilize and help make our lives easier!
Thank you all for your support and patience during the transition, your board appreciates it. We are all volunteers and want to make the right decisions for the betterment of our community.
Sincerely,Lea Beth MunozRRR HOA Board President

Enclave UpdateAs a reminder, the Annual Meeting for the Enclave has been
scheduled! By the time you receive the Newsletter, you should have received the information packet in the mail from PAMco. If you are unable to attend, please take the time to sign a proxy and pass it along to a neighbor, a Board member, or PAMco in case we have issues meeting quorum. The meeting is scheduled for:
Tuesday, June 4th 7pm to 9pm
at Clay Madsen Recreation Center at1600 Gattis School Rd, Round Rock, TX 78664
Phone: (512) 218-3220
Volunteers are needed for the Enclave’s Board of Directors! As of this writing, we are losing a minimum of two of the three current board members. It would also be beneficial to have a couple of volunteers for Social and Landscape Committees. By the annual meeting we should have more information on what happens if one or none of the members stay on for another year without new volunteers.
It has been my experience that being a member of the Board educates residents to what goes on behind the scenes. If you make a two year commitment, the first year is spent becoming acquainted with methods and procedures. Then the second year, the newer members are then able to take the executive positions and teach the next year’s volunteers. We have four Board of Directors meetings per year and the annual meeting. The rest of the business is currently conducted via email.
The Enclave has 95 homes inside of the gates. If you assume 25% are not Resident Owners then there are about 71 Resident Owners. If every year, a new Resident Owner were to volunteer for a two year commitment to the Board of Directors, you would have to serve less than once every other decade. Two years out of Twenty before your turn would come up again.
Besides elections, there will be a discussion on the Enclave’s Road Re-Sealing project. While we are likely another year or more off from starting this project, it is time to start coming to terms with the cost of the project, the importance of paying your HOA dues so we can save to offset the cost of the project, and what the potential Special Assessment costs will be per household. Yes – like it or not, there will be a Special Assessment cost associated with the resealing of the Briarton and Rosenborough streets. Attend the meeting to find out how much!
Lastly, a note about communication: The Board has tried to improve communication with Residents by creating a G-mail account and PAMco, the Management Company, has an email distribution list as well. Communication is a two way street: if

you do not communicate to us, we cannot communicate to you. Taking this to the next level, when we communicate to you via a Violation letter, for example, this is an opportunity for you to contact PAMco. The Board and PAMco are not interested in raising revenues via fines. We are interested in getting homes into compliance with the Covenants and having a clean, well run, desirable neighborhood. In order to avoid fines you can either rectify the situation if it is an easy fix - or you can contact PAMco @ 512-918-8100 and discuss a plan/timeline for getting back into compliance and stopping the fines from accumulating.

Email List for Announcements
Every now and again, information about something highly important to our neighborhood needs to reach as many households as possible. Cen-Tex Association Management is building an e-mail list, slowly but surely, for announcements. Please contact Cen-Tex Association Management at [email protected] with your current email address so you do not miss out on information you need to know.
Physical Symptoms Could be Sign of DepressionDepression and chronic mood
disorders can manifest themselves through physical symptoms
"Physical symptoms often drive a patient to see a primary care physician, and then the diagnosis of depression may emerge," said Dr. Sanjay Mathew, associate professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at BCM.
Symptoms include gastrointestinal syndromes or chronic pain conditions. Many patients will have diagnoses of both a physical illness as well as depression.
The first step is to get a complete medical history and physical exam to rule out any medical conditions before making a psychiatric diagnosis.
Certain types of antidepressants and medications that help treat seizures also help with the physical symptoms of depression at low doses. This can help avoid the use of multiple medications.

A Hearing Or Vision Test May Be The Solution To
"Bad Behavior"For some children a health problem could be to blame for acting
up in class or even a drop in grades. Doctors at Baylor College of Medicine say what might look like a behavioral issue could actually be a signs of hearing or vision problems.
If a child cannot hear or see properly, they cannot pay attention in class, said Dr. James H. Bray, associate professor of family and community medicine at BCM.
Bray said children may think they can hear what the teacher is saying but actually are getting the information wrong, so it looks like they aren¹t paying attention or are being defiant.
Bray said it is important to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. Before a parent begins to worry, a family medicine doctor or
pediatrician can conduct a basic hearing and vision test that can identify whether a hearing or vision specialist is needed, or if another problem is to blame, Bray said.
Bray said once a diagnosis is made there may be simply solutions, such as making sure a child sits in the front of the class.
