The weather and activities remind us that spring is here and summer is on the way. We will be wrapping up some activities and begin preparing for summer ones. There are a few items I want to mention to you:

Office Changes— Linea Wilson will be leaving us at the end of April. We appreciate her and wish her well as she leaves her position in the office. This means we are now beginning a search for an Administrative Assistant (Secretary). Please be in prayer as we search. Remember this is a time of transition. We have a temp, Theresa Russell, working with us. As a temp, she will only work 15 hours a week; her hours will be Monday through Wednesday from 9:00—2:00 (closed for her lunch break), Thursday 9:00—12:00, and no Fridays. Bonnie will work her normal hours (Tuesday—Thursday, 9:00—3:30). We will be diligent and work hard to get this position filled. Once that is done, the hours will increase again.

River Baptism— We have two to present at the James River; the date will be July 24 at 4:00pm at Greif (same as last year). We will have worship down by the river and a picnic; if you are interested in baptism please contact me.

Sanctuary Renovation Conversation— As you read this, we will have had our first church-wide town hall discussion. Be in prayer as we continue to discuss and dream together about the needs of our sanctuary. On May 22, we will have a second Town Hall Meeting immediately after worship in the sanctuary to answer questions.

Blessings, Derik

The Youth will be attending mission camp this year at Averett University from June 26th-July 2nd. Thank you for your support of the Youth during their camp fundraisers, and please be in prayer for their week at Impact Mission Camp!
