TRANSCRIPT
Roxie’s Ramblings
A new year, new classes, new sewing resolutions maybe? The Elves here at Red-Roxy have been hard
at it coming up with new classes and samples for you and we’re very excited about our line-up, including a
brand new Block of the Month that’s starting in April that we can’t wait to get started! As I write this, we’re
on Day 8 of our Stuff My Stocking Promotion and you obviously like what our elves have found this year!
Red-Roxy has been busy lining up some new educators to come teach that we’re very excited about. An
old favorite, Tweetle Dee will be back March 23-25 to teach some more barn painting classes. BERNINA
educator Shelly Fitzgerald from Idaho will be conducting a BERNINA Academy March 9 & 10. Donelle
McAdams, a fellow shop owner and Sew Steady/Westalee instructor will be here April 27 & 28 to amaze us
with her ruler work expertise and make us all “Quilting with Rulers” pros. Believe it or not, Red-Roxy Quilt
Co. will be celebrating it’s 5th Year Anniversary! We’ll be celebrating the first week of May including May
Day (May 1st!) when Paul Ashworth, CEO of BERNINA of America will be here. Be sure and mark that day
on your calendar now.
For all of you embroidery enthusiasts or anyone who would like give machine embroidery a try, I am
starting a new format for Embroidery Club that will debut in February that I hope you will give a try this
year. Look for the article explaining it in the newsletter and I will be talking more about it at January
Embroidery Xtra, so be sure and attend.
Have you tried the Kimberbell Machine Embroidery Designs? Well, Jess and I are super excited to
announce that we will be attending Kimberbell Academy in Utah in February to become a Certified Shop!
Woo-Hoo! In case you can’t tell, we are over the top excited to learn from the pros and Kimberbell and to be
able to bring exclusive designs and events back to Red-Roxy just for you!
That’s all for this issue. Keep those sewing machines humming and we’ll see you in the shop!
Happy Sewing! Roxie

Bel Canto ~ 2018 Block of the Month
Bel Canto means "beautiful singing" in Italian. This program will have your sewing machine singing an opera of its own! From Daniela Stout of Cozy Quilt Designs, this warm, inviting design comes together quickly by using strip sets to make the six different block sets, then finishing instructions and fabrics. In just seven short months, (just in time for Christmas 2018!) you’ll have a king-sized quilt that will have you singing your own song. It's bellissimo! The finished quilt measures 110" x 110” and is made Daniela’s stunning batik collection Tonga Stonewash from Timeless Treasures.
During this 7 month Block of the Month program, you will receive a different quilt pattern each month that has the blocks required for the finished quilt. At the end you’ll have patterns for 7 different quilts, with 6 of the patterns having multiple size options! The cost of the program includes all of the patterns and fabrics needed to complete the quilt top including borders & binding. (includes 5 Strip Packs, 7 patterns & over 10 yards of fabric!)

NEW MACHINE EMBROIDERY CLUB *NEW* Embroidery Club *NEW*
Sew-Cial Embroidery Club is back but with an all new format that I think you will find fun, informative,
interactive and a whole new way to learn embroidery. In the Embroidery Club sessions (day or evening) we
will be following the special presentation prepared by BERNINA, stopping to work through the segments as
needed and to make sure we understand each and every step. You will receive all of the information ahead
of the class time so you can have time to study it and come ready with any questions to class. We will then
work through it in class as a lecture/demo, to prepare you to go home and complete the project on your own.
As a bonus offer to you for signing up for the whole year of classes, we will offer you a FREE Embroidery
Lab Day where you can bring in your machine and work on the project and Roxie will be available to help
you. (Or rent one of our machines!) With this new club, you will be able to decide which projects you want
to complete in full, use your own stash fabrics on, or just make a sample to learn the embroidery technique.
If you miss a month, you will still have all the class materials, including the free embroidery design, to work
on the project at a later date or in a future embroidery lab. Come to one of the January embroidery clubs to
