ROYAL Z BAR

The ROYAL Z Bar is a high tensile steel Dywidag threaded rod system used to tie wall forms together. It has a coarse, rounded thread for speed of use and easy cleaning. The Z bar’s nominal diameters are 15/17mm and it is available as either hot or cold rolled. Z bars are used with large wing nuts, washer plates, spacer tubes and cones making them completely removable and reusable.

ROYAL Z BAR WING NUTS

The ROYAL Z Bar cast iron wing nut is used in the formation of walls. They are designed to spin freely on the high speed course Dywidag thread by hand and may be tightened using the length of a hammer. They are available with either a single or double arm. The single arm provides resistance to movement during vibration whereas the balanced double arms make it easier to turn when fitting and removing.

ROYAL Z BAR ROCK ANCHOR EXPANSION SHELL

The Z Bar Tie Anchor Expansion Shell is used for single-sided formwork shutters or for temporary tie-downs into concrete. The anchor has a shell length of 105mm which is inserted into a 32mm diameter hole. A 15/17mm Z bar is screwed tightly into the anchor shell until fully expanded. It is thread tested for a MWL 90kN. NB. Client is to obtain Engineer’s advice to determine anchor depth and pull-out load.

ROYAL CONDUIT

The ROYAL Conduit is a plastic spacer tube through which the Z bar feeds. Grout is prevented from entering the tube, allowing the Z bar to be easily removed when stripping the forms. They are supplied in full lengths and are cut down to the wall’s thickness and a cone is attached on each end. Tubes have an O.D of either 25mm or 27mm. The 25mm tube uses the plastic push in-and-fit cones whereas the cone fits on the outside of the larger 27mm tube.

ROYAL PVC Z BAR CONES

The ROYAL Z Bar PVC Cones are manufactured from a high grade, durable plastic and are fitted at the ends of tubes to the correct wall thickness to prevent slurry filling up. Once the forms are removed the cones are exposed and removed using a cone remover tool.

COIL TIE SPRINGS

2 BAR STANDARD COIL TIE SPRINGS

Two (2) bars are welded to the coil tie springs which screw onto removable plastic cones to set the desirable width of the concrete wall to be formed. Coil tie bolts are screwed on either end to secure the wall shutters together. On completion, the coil tie cones are removed, leaving a neat hole in the concrete’s face.

4 BAR HEAVY DUTY COIL TIE SPRINGS

Four (4) bars are welded to coils giving greater strength than the two (2) bar springs. They are used to space coil ties in the concrete further apart, to use fewer coil ties in a wall and are ideal for matching an architectural pattern on the finished wall. Four (4) bar coil tie springs allow coil ties to be used as an architectural feature.

Coil Tie springs remain buried in the concrete, creating an effective water barrier.

The Coil Tie Threaded Rod has an identical thread and load capacity as the coil tie bolt (with a 12.5mm diameter). It screws into the coil tie spring to create an extension of various lengths between coil tie springs. PLASTIC COIL TIE CONES

These removable PVC cones are threaded onto the coil tie spring to complete the tie and seal the hole to prevent concrete leakage. The cone also acts as a spacer of the concrete’s wall thickness. The cones are easily removed from the recessed hexagonal form with ROYAL’s cone removal spanner and are suitable for multiple reuse.

CONE REMOVAL KEY

Once concrete forms are removed, cone keys are used to remove the cones from the concrete without damaging either the concrete or the cone. Two (2) types of cone key spanners are available:

1. The cone bolt spanner is designed to tighten and release the coil tie bolt in the form while the opposite side provides the hexagonal key to turn and remove the cone;

2. The cone bolt spanner combo removes three (3) types of cones – the coil tie spring cone, the standard Z bar cone and the larger Z bar cone.

CONCRETE PLUGS FOR COIL TIE CONE HOLES

Pre-made concrete plugs are used to slip into the recessed cone removed from the completed concrete wall. Available in concrete colour, finishing flush or recessed in the hole. ROYAL COLUMN CLAMPS

ROYAL Column Clamps are used in the construction of square and rectangular concrete columns. The flat bars have cupped ends and staggered slots, providing for extensive adjustment within the range of each clamp. The simple wedge connection provides for quick assembly and stripping. ROYAL SHUTTERHOOK

ROYALshutterhooks are crane lifting hooks/lugs which attach to formwork timber shutters. Designed and manufactured from steel section with a large round ring for crane hooks to be easily hooked. Each lug is certified for a SWL of 500kg and is easily bolted to timber components to lift formwork shutters in and out of position for safe and high productivity. Independent testing/tagging is required annually and shutter design is by contractor’s engineer. Fits between twin vertical soldiers and has multiple bolt holes located on the square 50mm x 50mm steel section for flexibility to fix on multiple positions.
