We desire the glory of God in Christ.
WORSHIP IS
THE HIGHEST CHRISTIAN OCCUPATION
Ps 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
THE REASON WHY HE CALLED US
1 Pe 2:9-10 “… that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
THE LORD SEEKS WORSHIPPERS
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks

IN WORSHIP
We ought to serve God to the highest degree.
We are supposed to Glorify His name through our acts of
service.
We should Praise His name before the people. Acting as
Light that shines.
Therefore worship is serving the lord in all areas of our
lives, whether in our family, in the community and in the
ministry.

NEGOTIABLES IN OUR WORSHIP
1. HUMANITYGod is the absolute center of
our worship.
God desire our worship.• He orchestrates history to
display His glory.• He ordains the church to
enjoy His glory.
God deserves our worship.
God draw us to Himself in worship.
2. HONESTYGod requires that we worship
Him in spirit and in truth.
We misdefine worship according to external
circumstances.
God is more pleased with our purity than our
professionalism.
God is more pleased with our attitude than our appearance.
God is more pleased with our substance than our style.
Jesus redefines worship according to internal
circumstances.
The reality of His presence
The response of our hearts• Jesus desires to cover our
sin.• Jesus desires to comfort us
in sorrow.
3. CLARITYWorship is a rhythm of
revelation and response.
God reveals Himself clearly in the world and in His Word.
When the Word is absent in our worship
• Our response is manufactured.
• The result is pleasing to self.
When the word is apparent in our worship
• Our response is authentic.• The result is pleasing God.
4. COMMUNITYWe are not just individual
worshipers; we are a community faith.
Two problems in contemporary worship
• The individualistic attitude• The spectator approach
The point of community worship…
• We encourage each other.• We express our unity.
The point of community worship…
• We establish continuity with the church throughout history.
• We engage together in spiritual battle.
5. DIVERSITYWorship reflects the unity and
diversity of heaven.
We need to get in on a global perspective of worship.
We need to get over the different styles of worship that
divide the body of Christ.
We need to get involved in the joy of continual, worldwide
worship.
We need to get lost the love of God has for every nation, tribe
and people.
We need to get on with the global mission to which God
has called us.• Worship is the fuel of our
mission.
We need to get on with the global mission to which God
has called us.• Worship is the goal of our
mission.
We should offer our service unto the Lord with the Best of our very BEST. Not the second
best.
Philippians 4:8“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
