1725 Kung Foo Panda @ The Plough, Byfleet 16/05/2017 Very well supported run tonight, with Kung Foo Panda out to impress, and did. We raced away, the stamina was strong, and no torches needed either. We spent much of the evening on Wisley Common, which is a nationally important site for dragonflies and damselflies, and many rare birds ! We’ve got a few of those too ! Tonight, visitors were The Pro aka Stuart, no longer resident in Madrid, but in the UK now. Private Parts aka Andrew brought his lovely wife Jo to meet us all, it seemed to go very well, banter flying mainly from Spanish Mistress, on form tonight. A great night for All of us. Dishy Dave was back with us, testing out his Achilles tendon, and succeeded. Tight Git ran well, and Top Man gleeful at Chelsea winning the Premier League , wey hey ! Megabit has now resorted to taking photos of innocent ladies bending down outside pubs !! Well perhaps not so innocent eh ? Spanish Mistress & Sodden Assets were extremely happy always good to see. Mother Brown ran and ran, and Ard’On Provocateur dressed up for the pub. We also ran by the Birchmere camp site, where the Scouts have been for just over a hundred years in Byfleet. Tomorrow, Friday 19 May at 10pm, from Woking Leisure Centre…. is the Midnight Walk raising money for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices……..8 miles walk….Ladies Only. Support them please ! [email protected] Once in the pub, served by Meghan & Tom, we downed quite a few pints on this humid night and a seemingly endless supply of bowls of chips. Dingaling was off chasing KFC. On On…..

1726 Katie @ The Mayford Arms, Mayford 23/05/2017 Eager anticipation was felt by our smiling Virgin Hare as she presided over her first run for Weybridge Hash, and a well chosen pub to boot. We are liking the new signage on the pavements too, very creative ! Plus a Learner sign was placed on her car, at the end, very amusing, also L for liked. Great to see Master Bates back with us, he of the foot of blue, well one toe at least. Great Bear was in town, along with Kung Foo Panda & Megabit, flashing his camera wisely. No Lord Tosser, no Wasser, no Pussy Galore, and no Lego ver, but still a jolly good pack of keen runners, off to explore the Hoe Valley path, a mosaic of woodland and wet and dry meadows linked together by the Hoe Stream, and running from Mayford Bridge to Hoe Bridge in Old Woking. Spanish Mistress took a tumble,

between the trees……….on her OWN ! Yes indeedy…….a delightful almost full somersault was seen. No bruises we hope. Wild flowers are in abundance here as well as owls, bats, deer and frogs, but not the to be kissed ones ! We had a lovely route layed down for us, just a little hint, set it later in the day, and more flour will then be seen, otherwise a fabulous first Run Katie !!

Our pub was bursting with fresh soft chips to gorge on, and even onion rings if you could get your hands on them, how kind Katie . xx Worzel was on it tonight, as usual, Tight Git & Pig Pen too, and Dishy Dave now known as Plat du Jour, but poor chap, his Achilles tendons were bothering him a lot. Get better quickly, we hope. Top Man & Naked Chef, were showing us how to get round a good run, looked easy for them. Very importantly, our hearts go out to all those dear Families, from in and around Manchester on Monday night, we send you much love, for all your lovely children, and their Mothers and Fathers too. Xxxxxx We are very blessed to have each other’s company, week in, week out, let’s wish the same to everyone caring for someone from Monday’s horrific bomb attack. XXX They need your love now.

1727 The Great Bear @ The Stephen Langton, Friday st 30/05/2017 And so it was that the third most dodgy group of people (take a bow SCC and SH3) met in the third most dodgy car park in Surrey (take a bow Ockham woods) to partake in some good wholesome outdoor activity; not of the Ockham stylee. Usual suspects and Anna making a rare appearance. Spring watch take note. Trail trod the tricky line of being brilliantly devious or a last minute rush as it first wound south and then west to pass through the back alleys of Abinger. We like a back alley. Up past the school playing field and grand design houses before returning to the woods. Now Hurtmore woods provide ample tricks and trails, paths and woodland passages, but none the less The Bear fucked it up and the short cut proved to be the best way. As a crowd of young steer curiously watched us pass, most of the pack were thinking that maybe burgers would be nice back at the pub. Back at the car park, Wasser took the brave step of leaving his car door open to confuse would be thieves. It seemed to work. The pub served excellent beer AONB of which much was partaken. The Stephen Langton is named after the kingpin of a drugs gang who was jailed following an operation in which £8 million-worth of narcotics were seized. Langton pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import cannabis and to supply cocaine and was sentenced to 16 years at Maidstone Crown Court, whilst five criminal associates were also jailed. The pub celebrates Stephen's narcotic achievements by having a silly grin and party hat on its pub sign.

1728 Tosser @ The Black Swan, Ockham 06/06/2017

A cracking setting for our run tonight, out in the woods, yet so near to both the A3 & M25. This is prime Hashing territory, which we love to run through, green green ferns aplenty. Great gathering tonight, with footie being played in the Pond car park before we started, skills on show with even Lord Tosser tried kicking the football right at Dingaling’s crown jewels, but Ding managed a smart save ! On that note Private Parts, Andrew was back with us, Pig Pen too, and even Master Bates keen to run riot again. The Pro..aka Stuart was back too, along with our FRB the other Stuart, fit as ever. Worzel and Katie were dressed as Dutch people, …Amsterdam orange blossom to be sure ! Spanish Mistress & Sodden Assets were bounding along, enjoying themselves, and Kung Foo Panda was running fast as always. We ran all through Wisley Common and Ockham Common and Chatley Heath, this area makes up over 800 acres of heathland and woodland, an ideal home for dragonflies and damselflies. We found ourselves running through the wild pine and birch slopes, seemingly at every turn, it was lovely ! We were very close to The Semaphore Tower, built in 1822 which used to send messages all the way to the Royal Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth Doner was enjoying herself, and Great Bear too, he was the only Bear down in the woods today. It was a very complete run, crisscrossing the bridges over the motorway, to link all the woods together, and much appreciated by all. Tosser did well, deserves a pint ! Once in the pub, much stuffing of chips was in evidence, and Pig Pen was keen on something else too….hey hey. Being a gastropub it isn’t cheap, but good things rarely are. Thanks to Kebab for kindly strapping a camera to his body to capture some wacky pics !! Steady, have to be careful round here.....aye aye ! A fun night yet again, and Megabit was seen taking a potted plant home with him, no doubt another green gift from Doner’s greenhouse. See you all next week, do not miss it !

1729 Wasser @ The Drummond Arms, Albury

13/06/2017

Large car park, tranquil setting in this lovely village nestling in the Surrey Hills. The pub beer garden was in full swing as Wasser sent us off to explore, starting with a mighty hill that took your breath away. The views around here are special and woodland to match, as we continued ever upwards. We found a wigwam made of tree branches, which Katie made a beeline for, swiftly followed by Tracy & Stuart and Dingaling. Wasser did well, even

putting a False Trail sign on the out trail, cleverly to protect his route which we only came across on the On In, which was amusing, cause we back checked to find we could carry on through it. Worzel was not impressed. A sweaty night tonight, the pub seemed ever so welcoming, and what with chips and even Doner bringing her tomato plants and Len his floppy cucumber ones,……careful, to tempt everybody to grow something. Gardener’s World is here ! Gossip, well out on the hillside, as we kept crossing stiles, Dingaling noticed Pussy Galore going off into another field, instead of climbing the stile…..and her words said it all……..’I can’t be bothered to get my leg over’. Dingaling had to smile. In the pub, Pig Pen Matt was hungrily chomping on a bread roll, for dear life. Naked Chef, Sodden Assets & Spanish Mistress, Great Bear, Master Bates, and a new visitor tonight, Neil, friendly soul, has run with many Hashes, but started with Guildford. Welcome to our happy Hash ! So, on a glorious night, out in the greenery, much appreciated by all, Wasser did good ! On On…..
