Overview CA Institute’s Russian courses are designed for today’s students and professionals who are seeking to further expand their understanding of life, business and culture in Russia and over than fifteen Russian-speaking countries.
Goals To improve the level of students’ understanding of a foreign language and to get the students to use the language in an effective manner to succeed in basic communication in various general topics and daily life situations. To reach an A2 level according to the CEFR.

Russian alphabet: reading. Pronunciation: soft and hard vowels, soft and hard consonants, special consonants. Simple tongue twisters. Phrase “I have”. New vocabulary: First Russian words.
n Lesson 3
Russian alphabet: writing. Game with letters. Special letters. New vocabulary: Russian words beginning with typical Cyrillic letters. Reading abbreviations. Game with letters.
n Lesson 4
Formal and informal greeting. Russian names. Reading and pronunciation practice. Stress in simple words. Gender of nouns. New vocabulary: Countries of the world.
n Lesson 5
Game. Recap of Russian alphabet. Writing test. Stress in complex words. Gender of nouns. Reading practice. Asking “What is it?”. New vocabulary: Capitals of the world.
n Lesson 6
Reading and writing names of places. Grammar recap game. New vocabulary: Names of months. Russian verb “to be”. Personal pronouns.

General recap: Nominative case of nouns and adjectives; pronouncing a tongue twister; reading and translating an advertisement or a ticket; preparing a dialogue in a group; listening and writing down some words from the vocabulary.
