Overview CA Institute’s courses of Russian language are designed for today’s students and professionals who are seeking to further expand their understanding of life, business and culture in Russia and over than fifteen Russian-speaking countries.

Goals To improve the level of students’ understanding of a foreign language and to get the students to use the language in an effective manner to succeed in communication in various general topics and daily life situations. To review students’ knowledge of Russian, structure the grammar and enrich active vocabulary. To reach a B2 level according to the CEFR.

n I can discuss culture and arts; I can speak about hobbies, leisure activities, daily routines, work and study. n I can write texts and e-mails. n I can comprehend literary texts and poetry. n I can do simple translating and interpreting. n I can distinguish formal and informal speech, slang.. n I can define and describe objects and people. n I can reporting the past, present and future plans. n I can discuss recent and upcoming events, news. n I can discuss life and culture in Russia and Russian speaking countries. n I can work with complex authentic typed and handwritten texts. n I can composing invitations, sign postcards and greeting cards, making telephone calls, write e-mails. n I can speak with others, introduce myself, find out about others, express personal opinions and feelings. n I can comprehend information from TV, films, newspapers, radio, internet.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to be at an A2+ level according to the CEFR in Russian.

It is necessary to be flexible and prepared. Please complete all assignments beforehand and bring the following to class:
