Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) has been selected by Russian Helicopters, JSC to provide the main rotor actuator and hydraulic power supply for its upgraded Mi-34C1 light helicopter. The agreement includes research and development, original equipment supply and aftermarket support for both units. Prototypes for flight tests have already been produced by Goodrich's Actuation Systems business with entry into service planned for late 2012.

Mike Gardiner, president of Goodrich's Actuation Systems business stated, "Goodrich's experience and expertise producing reliable actuation systems brings added value to the Russian Helicopters Mi-34C1 upgrade. We are pleased to be cooperating on such a significant program in Russia and look forward to this and future collaboration."

The upgrade to the existing Mi-34 known as the Mi-34C1 plans to achieve an increase in maximum takeoff weight to 1,500 kg (1.5 tons) and allows for the piston engine to be potentially replaced by a gas-turbine engine during future modernization.

MOSCOW - - Russia this year will deliver to India 15 helicopters Mi-17B-5, built at the Kazan helicopter plant. The overall amount to be provided under the contract is 80 helicopters, the general director of the Helicopters of Russia holding company, Dmitry Petrov, told ARMS-Tass on Thursday. Russia is to supply the helicopters to India within the framework of a contract India'sDefense Ministry signed with Russia's arms exporter Rosoboronexport. The contract is likely to be complemented with an extra order for 59 such helicopters, Petrov said.

MOSCOW - - Russian Helicopters JSC stakes on military production, and this will be its policy within the period of next ten years, the director general of the holding, Dmitry Petrov, told reporters on Thursday.

"In line with the state armaments program approved at the end of last year, within the period of ten years we will supply the Russian Armed Forces and other power wielding agencies with over 1,000 helicopters, Dmitry Petrov said. "Starting from this year we will sharply increase production," he added.

MINSK - - Russia will grant a credit to Belarus worth 3 - 3.5 billion U.S. dollars for a term of three years. The credit is to be provided through the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund.

MINSK - - Belarus and Russia will establish an international company to process 1 million tons of mill a year, Mikhail Rusiy, the Belarussian minister of agriculture and food, told reporters on Thursday.

"The National Union of Milk Producers of Russia and our side have been instructed shortly to prepare the setting up of a Belarussian-Russian international company for milk production and processing," he said. The minister said the milk processing capacity will amount to 1 million tons a year.

MINSK - - Belarus has supported Russia's initiative to introduce additional demands to security in the nuclear energy sector, Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said at a news conference on the results of a session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

"We have supported the initiative of the Russian Federation on additional demands to security in that sector and on fixing those demands in IAEA documents," the prime minister said.

MINSK - - The chairman of the CIS Executive Committee is confident that differences in CIS countries on an agreement on the zone of free trade are surmountable.

"A compromise is possible and instructions have been given to find it," Sergei Lebedev said at a news conference after a session of the Council of CIS Heads of State in Minsk.

According to him, a draft document on that may be considered at a next session of the council, due in October.

MINSK - - President of Kazakhstan's National Bank Grigory Marchenko will be nominated by CIS countries as a united candidate to the post of the IMF Managing Director, Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim Massimov said Thursday as he addressed an expanded session of the CIS Council of Prime Ministers.

MINSK - - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has raised the question of arranging the activity of the EurAsEC court. He was speaking at the opening of a meeting of the inter-state economic council in the narrow format.

MINSK - - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said that by July 1 Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will ratify the entire package of documents required for the launch of the Common Economic Space. The CES is to go operational in January 2012, he recalled.

MINSK - - The Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange is going to open trading in the national currencies of the EurAsEC member countries, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said at an enlarged meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council at the head of government level in Minsk.

MINSK - - The question of extending a loan to Belarus from the EurAsEC anti-crisis fund will be considered in Kiev on June 4, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said on Thursday.

MINSK - - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan should complete the drafting of an agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Thursday as he addressed a session the Supreme Council of the trilateral Customs Union at the level of Prime Ministers.

At the meeting, Putin made a proposal to discuss the draft Declaration on Principles Underlying the Eurasian Economic Union.

He believes that "this union will ensure mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries, including the member-states of the European Union and a subsequent formation of a common economic space."

MINSK - - Belarus has a workable pattern of counteraction to the speculative demand for foreign currency, Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said Thursday at a news conference of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community /Eurasec/.

MINSK - - Former speaker of the Federation Council upper house of Russian parliament Sergei Mironov "will resign as chairman of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly" after being recalled from the Federation Council, the chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, Sergei Lebedev, said at a news conference on Thursday.

According to Lebedev this issue will be considered within the framework of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

TASHKENT - - The signing of more than two billion dollars worth of agreements on economic interaction has become the key result of Uzbek President Islam Karimov's state visit to India on May 17-18.

According to Uzbekistan'sForeign Ministry, "a number of documents were signed in the course of the visit. In particular, these documents envisage the fulfillment of 30 projects, including joint prospecting for and production of oil and natural gas with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation."

KIEV - - Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has issued recommendation to the Ukrainian government to step up talks with the countries making up the CIS Customs Union /Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus/ on the issue of establishing a free trade zone without exceptions or restrictions.

This is said in a statement that was issued Thursday upon the results of parliamentary hearings on the status of and prospects for Ukraine's economic relations with the EU and the Customs Union.

The hearings were held May 19.

MOSCOW, May 19 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Helicopters JSC stakes on military production, and this will be its policy within the period of next ten years, the director general of the holding, Dmitry Petrov, told reporters on Thursday.

"In line with the state armaments program approved at the end of last year, within the period of ten years we will supply the Russian Armed Forces and other power wielding agencies with over 1,000 helicopters, Dmitry Petrov said. "Starting from this year we will sharply increase production," he added.

According to the director general, "there are no problems with the implementation of that program". "Last year we not only fulfilled, but even over fulfilled it," he stressed.

Last year, military production of company enterprises amounted to 70 percent against 30 percent of civilian production. "On the whole this ratio will remain," Petrov noted.

The company's proceeds in 2010 amounted to about USD 2.7 billion, EBITDA margin about 18% (compared with 10-12% on average for manufacturers of this kind), says the source.
