This is an annual festival in May that is highlight by member businesses.

Day-long festival held on Frankfort Avenue between Lexington Road

and Bauer Avenue highlights the community’s businesses, history, cuisine, and style. It also

showcases the area’s retailers, restaurants, and live entertainment. Family fun and activities

include the kidz zone, fun zone and wellness fair. The St. Matthews Street Festival is looking

for vendors who have something special, unique or delicious to share with people. All busi-

Halloween in Brown park For over 17 years, the Chamber of St. Matthews and City of St. Matthews have

brought together thousands of residents, dozens of organizations, and countless

area businesses in a fun-filled family friendly Halloween event. Starting as a

small community event to give families in St. Matthews a safe place to take their

young ones trick-or-treating this event has grown to be very open and welcoming

to the entire area. With well over 50 area businesses setting up trick-or-treating

stations throughout Brown Park, bounce houses, hay rides, a petting zoo, and

games this event is always a great way to get into the Halloween spirit. The event

is held at Brown Park in St. Matthews, located on Kresge Way right next to

Baptist Hospital East, it is an easy access park. The trail for Trick-or-Treating

runs into the woods on the shorter path, while the hayride runs on the outside

longer path. Trick-or-Treating starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m., though

there is much more to do than just collect candy.

Light Up St. Matthews Light Up St. Matthews has been a tradition for decades for hundreds of

residents and visitors to St. Matthews. This year the annual celebration

launching the holiday season is expanding its light display by adding eight

new displays. Light Up St. Matthews begins Saturday December 6th at 4

p.m. with the customary celebration of cookies and hot chocolate, a live DJ,

pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause, horse drawn carriage rides through the

park, activities for the kids, and fun for the entire family. At 6 p.m. the

event concludes with Santa turning on the lights throughout the park. The lights will stay lit until after

the New Year and visitors are welcome to attend the park throughout that time to enjoy the lights.

Operation Birthday Cake The Chamber of St. Matthews is celebrating 60 zip codes in 60 years in 2015.

Operation Birthday Cake is a year-long sponsorship opportunity for members with

recognition at every chamber business and community event.

Operation Birthday Cake offers sponsors one or more candle on the enormous

Birthday Cake at the Annual Meeting in January and exclusive branding throughout

the year.

Sponsorships are also available at the kick-off at the 2015 Annual Meeting,

including co-presenting sponsor and Community Pride, business and Chamber

awards.

Presenting Sponsor - $1500

Sponsorship includes special recognition at the Annual Dinner and branding on all related media

including electronic and printed invitations the printed event program, all social media platforms

and broadcast media.
