After School Bible Club Jorene Williams

As school starts in the Flathead, Jorene Williams, a member of Easthaven and a BCM missionary, begins the process of starting up the After School Bible Clubs.

The Bible Clubs are held in the local elementary schools grades K-5. They are sponsored by BCM International (Bible Centered Ministries). BCM has held Bible Clubs for children in the Flathead since 1949. This is not a school sponsored program, and parents must sign a permission slip for their child to attend.

Jorene teaches a Monday class from 3:35-4:35 at Helena Flats school; Tuesday class from 3:15-4:15 at West Valley: Wednesday class from 3:30-4:30 at Edgerton: and Thursday at 3:30-4:30 at Elrod.

Another BCM missionary, Todd Bonefeole holds classes at Smith Valley, Cayuse Prairie, Fair-Mont-Egan, and Hedges Elementary School.

This year the Bible stories will continue in the Old Testament, The Footsteps of Faith, and how God Guides Us. It continues the amazing story of God’s chosen people, Israel. they will learn about the prophets, Elijah and Elisha, kings, and captives who are willing to obey God at all cost, such as Queen Esther and Daniel. The first lesson or two will be foundation chapters of the Bible in Genesis, the fall of man, and God’s redemptive plan.

Parents are always welcome to attend. Jorene needs helpers for the Tuesday and Wednesday classes. If you would like to help her with this ministry to grade school children, you can reach Jorene at (406) 871-4441.

Personally, as one who first heard the gospel at the age of six in an after school Bible club (I’m now in my mid-70’s), I can attest to the value of this type of ministry.
