Simplification List

Moving to SAP S/4HANA, for a typical ERP 6.x customer requires a database migration to SAP HANA (if the customer is not yet on SAP HANA) followed by the installation of the new simplified code and requires also changes in adaptions on customer’s side.

In addition, customer should be aware of the fact that only SAP S/4HANA packages (and no other software) shall be deployed on an SAP S/4HANA installation. Details are set forth in the Software Use Rights document.

Based on the Simplification List for SAP S/4HANA, SAP will provide the information per application/functional area about the SAP S/4HANA related simplifications. The SAP S/4HANA System Conversion

is always a conversion of a system

landscape.

In a 3-tier system landscape the

S/4HANA System Conversion usually

starts with the conversion of the DEV

system

Different project phases

A SAP S/4HANA System Conversion is

a change project with different project

phases and project tasks.

Some tasks are executed in the

prepare phase of a project. Other tasks

can only be executed once the new

software is installed.

Custom code tasks in different

systems

Dedicated Custom Code tasks need to

be executed in the different project

phases of the conversion project.

Custom Code need to be adapted in all
