SUNDAY (November 3rd):

Monthly Food Collection for the needy in our local community. Please drop off your non- perishable non- expired food items to the bins available in the back of the church. Thank you for your generosity

Peter’s Pence Collection: There are many places around the globe where the Church struggles to be a visible sign of charity, but thankfully, the Holy Father is the pilgrim of charity for Catholics everywhere. In poor dioceses where many are dependent on the Church for social and pastoral support; in regions where Catholics are persecuted for their faith; and in nations overloaded with refugees and victims of war and natural disasters, the works done by the Holy Father help the Church extend charity to those most in need. The Peter’s Pence Collection gives each of us the opportunity to be a pilgrim of charity around the world. Our gifts to this annual Collection help the Holy Father strengthen dioceses, religious orders, and struggling communities of faith. Help the Holy Father and continue to be a pilgrim of charity throughout the world. Thank you for your generosity in the Peter’s Pence Collection.

Recent victories for the Pro Life movement 1. British Columbia’s highest court upheld a ban on physician-assisted suicide, overturning a decision last year by the B.C. Supreme Court that found the criminal ban against doctor-assisted suicide was unconstitutional. 2. The Supreme Court of Canada upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal of Ontario in the Rasouli case. The doctors was arguing that they had the unilateral right to withdraw life-sustaining treatment. The Supreme Court stated that are required to obtain consent before withdrawing life-sustaining treatment that may result in death. There is no doubt the first will be appealed to the Supreme Court of Canada and we should continue to pray for the Judges to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit. .
