PERPETUAL ADORATION
“I love an empty church. I love sitting there, with nobody but God and me. There is something power-ful about that. So many of us are afraid of silence and petrified by solitude, but we need some silence and solitude to sit with God and work out who we are, what we are here for, what matters most, and what matters least, so that we can make great deci-sions in our lives. We need that.” Matthew Kelly/Rediscover Jesus
Please consider joining our Adoration
Team as a Family, Individual, or
Substitute on call. Visit the Perpetual Adoration Section of our Parish Website: www.sacredheartpinehurst.org Watch the short “Love for Love” video, then contact one of our Shift Leaders or Coordinator to schedule time with Jesus. Committed Adorers and flexible Substitutes are currently needed to support our 7 days/week, 24 hours/day Ministry. Urgent Needs: Monday 7:00-8:00 PM (Co-Adorer) Tuesday 1:00-2:00 PM (Co-Adorer) Tuesday 9:00-10:00 PM (Co-Adorer) Thursday 4:00-5:00 PM (Co-Adorer) Saturday 10:00-11;00 AM (Co-Adorer) Saturday 2:00-3:00 PM (Co-Adorer) Saturday 6:00-7:00 PM Saturday 8:30-10:00 PM (1st Satur-day) Sunday 5:00-6:00 PM (Co-Adorer)

PARISH RETREATS
For those wanting to develop a closer relationship to Our Lord, we will be offering three (3) retreats at St. Francis Springs in Greensboro, NC this Spring. One will be in the Lenten season (March 2-6); one will be in the Easter season (April 14-16), and one will in after Pentecost (June 8-10). Please note that the first is three nights and the latter two are two nights.
If you would like to participate, please sign up on the lists in Nancy’s office. Please pick only one date at first, but, depending on participation, you may be able to go to more than one. Nancy will have a detail sheet that you must read before enrolling that contains address, times, dates, and costs. You will be able to arrive in daylight and be home in daylight.
All retreats involve substantial silence – there is no wifi or other electronic access. Please plan to escape from their grasp while you’re there. Phones may be used in emergencies only. These are St. Francis’ guidelines. We will have a brief gathering that all retreatants must attend at Sacred Heart before the actual retreat so all your questions can be addressed. There, you’ll learn how to get the most from your retreat.
These retreats will be a wonderful time for you to spend with Our Lord in a way that is difficult to duplicate at home. Please come and refresh your spirit and rest for a while in the Lord’s arms.
Sanctuary Society Our Sanctuary Society seeks a committed volunteer to clean the church on a monthly basis. Your help is greatly appreciated to join a faithful group of volunteers to keep our sanctuary beautiful. Please consider donating your precious time for 60 minutes once a month. Please contact Dana Tucich 248-739-2302 or [email protected] for more details. God Bless.
Career Opportunity: Have you ever considered a career that allows you to do good for others while doing well for yourself? Here’s an opportunity to work for a Fortune 1000 company that holds the same religious, moral, and ethical beliefs as you. The Knights of Columbus has an opening for a career opportunity representing their insurance program. They offer a complete benefits package with this full-time position. In order to qualify, one must be eligible for membership in the Knights of Columbus. For more
information, go to our website kofc.org/careers. Please contact

Scott Hahn to Speak at Sacred Heart
Dear parishioners, Dr. Scott Hahn, renown Biblical scholar, author of 40+ books,
and seen regularly on EWTN, will speak at Sacred Heart on:
Friday, February 28, at 7 PM
In a recent letter, Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama stated that “By living more fully in the presence of Christ…, we will be prepared to celebrate the birth of Christ; and the great gift of His Love.” He goes on to say, “The presence of Jesus in our daily life is a powerful gift; let us celebrate it throughout the whole year.” On Friday evening, February 28, at 7:30 pm, Dr Scott Hahn will be here to show us how God is truly present in Holy Communion; how we consume Him spiritually in the Sacred Word, and physically in the Consecrated Host. This is the way to have Christ with us all year round. Tickets for Scott Hahn’s talk on February 28th are available: On-line at: stpaulcenter.com/pinehurst & after weekend Masses in Gathering Area.
