REMOTE CONTROL PREPARATION BATTERY INSTALLATION

Install the batteries as the following pictures. Be sure + and – terminals are positioned as

indicated in the battery compartment (Fig1).

SERVICE LIFE OF BATTERIES

The batteries normally last for one year although this depends on how often the remote

control is used.

If the remote control fails to work even when it is operated near the player, replace the

batteries.

Use two size AAA dry batteries.

NOTE:

Do not drop, step on or otherwise impact the remote control. This may damage the parts

or lead to malfunction.

If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the batteries.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION

Point the remote control from no more

than about 6 m from the remote control

sensor and within about 60° of the front

of the player (Fig2).

Press POWER button on unit or remote control to power ON the unit (indicator will glow

blue); press it again to power OFF (standby mode) the unit (indicator will glow red).

- Press GREEN button to remove all the files from play list.

- Press YELLOW button to remove current file from play list.

- Press BLUE button to enter Screen Saver mode and press any button on remote control

to exit Screen Saver mode.

3. MOVIE

During MOVIE playing:

- Press DISPLAY button to display/hide the tool bar.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select preferred option in the tool bar and

press OK button to confirm selection.

- Press button to pause/start playing.

- Press button on remote control to play fast backward.

- Press button on remote control to play fast forward.

- Press button on remote control to play previous movie in the play list.

- Press button on remote control to play next movie in the play list.

- Press ■ button on remote control to stop playing.

4. TEXT

During TEXT playing:

- Press DISPLAY button to display/hide the tool bar.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select preferred option in the tool bar and

press OK button to confirm selection.

- Press button on remote control to display previous page.

- Press button on remote control to display next page.

- Press button on remote control to play previous text file in the play list.

- Press button on remote control to play next text file in the play list.

- Press ■ button on remote control to stop playing.

The unit contains different setting menus. Once the initial programming is entered, it will

be remained in the memory until it is changed, and the unit can always be operated

under the same conditions.

This setting will be remained in the memory until the settings are changed even after

setting the player to standby mode.

Common procedure for initial settings

- Press MENU button on unit side or remote control to display the main menu.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select different menus.

- Press OK button to enter a menu and press UP or DOWN navigation button to select

preferred option.

- Press OK button to enter adjusting menu page.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust the value.

- Press MENU button to save current setting and return to previous menu page.

- Press EXIT button to exit menu page.

DTV MODE Press SOURCE button on unit side or remote control to set the unit in DTV mode.

First Time Installation If first time using, below menu page will appear on the screen after turning this unit on:

OSD Language

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select preferred On-Screen-Display language.

Country

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select the country that you are living in.

Tune Type

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select preferred tune type.

MAIN MENU

If above settings are finished, press OK button to confirm selection and enter Channel

Tuning page. Then the unit will automatically search all the available ATV and DTV

channels.

- If you want to skip ATV or DTV channel tuning, press MENU button and use

LEFT/RIGHT navigation buttons to select YES; select NO to continue tuning.

- If you want to exit all the tuning, press EXIT button and use LEFT/RIGHT navigation

buttons to select YES; select NO to continue tuning.

1. CHANNEL

1.1 Auto Scan

Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select Auto Scan item, then press OK button to

enter submenu.

Country

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select the country that you are living in.

Tune Type

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select the tune type.

Once above settings are finished, press OK button to start auto channel scanning.

1.2 DTV Manual Tuning

Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select DTV Manual Tuning, then press OK button

to enter below page:

Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to select channel, then press OK button to search

programs.

1.3 ATV Manual Tuning

Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select ATV Manual Tuning, then press OK button

to enter below page:

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select the second option.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust it. - Press RED button on remote control to save it.

1.4 Programme Edit - Press RED button on remote control to enter Delete Mode. Then press UP or DOWN

navigation button to move the cursor and press RED button again to delete a channel. - Press GREEN button on remote control to enter Rename Mode. Then press UP or

DOWN navigation button to move the cursor and press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust the value.

NOTE: Rename function is available only for analog channels. - Press YELLOW button on remote control to enter Mode. Then press UP or DOWN

navigation button to move the cursor and press YELLOW button again to move a channel.

- Press BLUE button on remote control to skip a channel. - Press FAV button to add a channel to the Favorite List.

1.5 Signal Information This item is used to display the signal information of a digital program.

1.6 CI Information

The TV has a “CI Slot” where is possible insert a CAM (Conditional Access Module) (not

included) to see DVB-T pay channels through a Smart Card.

NOTE: The compatibility of all CAM is not guaranteed.

Before inserting the CAM, make sure the TV is in standby mode. Insert CAM module in the

correct direction.

Please insert it gently and correctly otherwise it can be damaged.

2. PICTURE

2.1 Picture Mode

Available options: Standard, Mild, User, Dynamic.

NOTE: If the value of Contrast, Brightness, Color or Sharpness has changed, Picture Mode

will turn to User automatically.

2.2 Contrast

The value of contrast can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.3 Brightness

The value of brightness can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.4 Color

The value of color saturation can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.5 Sharpness

The value of sharpness can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.6 Tint

The value of tint can be adjusted from 0-100.

NOTE: This item is available only in NTSC system.

2.7 Color Temp

This item is used to adjust the optimum color temperature for suitable viewing.

Available options: User, Cool, Medium, Warm.

2.8 Red

The value of red can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.9 Green

The value of green can be adjusted from 0-100.

2.10 Blue

The value of blue can be adjusted from 0-100.

NOTE: If the value of Red, Green or Blue has changed, Color Temp will turn to User

automatically.

2.11 Aspect Ratio

Available options: Panorama, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1, Zoom2.

2.12 Noise Reduction

Available options: Off, Low, Middle, High.

2.13 Screen (for PC mode only)

3. SOUND

3.1 Sound Mode

Available options: Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, User.

NOTE: If the value of Treble or Bass has changed, Sound Mode will turn to User

automatically.

3.2 Treble

This item is used to adjust the level of higher-pitched sounds from 0-100.

3.3 Bass

This item is used to adjust the level of lower-pitched sounds from 0-100.

3.4 Balance

This item is used to adjust the audio output between left and right speakers from -50 to +50.

3.5 Auto Volume

This item is used to set Auto Volume on/off.

3.6 Surround Sound

This item is used to set Surround Sound on/off.

3.7 SPDIF Mode

Available options: Auto, PCM, Off.

4. TIME

4.1 Clock

- If DTV scanning is not performed, or no

available digital channel is present, the users

can adjust the Clock manually.

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select

Date/Month/Year/Hour/Minute.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to

adjust the value.

NOTE: During digital channel normal playing,

Clock is adjustable only when first time entering it.

4.2 Off Time

This item is used to set the auto power off time.

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select Repeat/Hour/Minute.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust the value.

4.3 On Time

This item is used to set the auto power on time.

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select desired item.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust the value.

NOTE: If no available channel is present, Channel will not be adjustable and it will display

grey color.

4.4 Sleep Timer

This item is used to set the automatic sleep time in standby mode.

Available options: Off, 10min, 20min, 30min, 60min, 90min, 120min, 180min, 240min.

4.5 Auto Sleep

This item is used to set Auto Sleep on/off.

4.6 Time Zone

This item is used to select preferred time zone.

5. OPTION

5.1 OSD Language

This item is used to select preferred On-Screen-Display language.

5.2 Audio Language 1st

This item is used to select preferred First Audio Language.

5.3Audio Language 2nd

This item is used to select preferred Second Audio Language.

5.4 Subtitle Language 1st

This item is used to select preferred First Subtitle Language.

5.5 Subtitle Language 2nd

This item is used to select preferred Second Subtitle Language.

5.6 OSD Duration

This item is used to select preferred OSD menu display duration.

5.7 Country

It displays the country for Auto Tuning.

5.8 Restore Factory Default

This item is used to resume factory default settings.

6. LOCK

6.1 Lock System

Input the password by pressing number buttons on remote control to enter it.

NOTE: The factory default password is “0000”.

6.2 Set Password

Press number buttons on remote control to input “Please enter old

password”, “Please enter new password” and “Confirm new

password”.

6.3 Block Program

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select the channel.

- Press GREEN button on remote control to lock/unlock a channel.

6.4 Parental Guidance

This item is used to set the preferred parental guidance.

Available options: Off, 4-18.

- For menu operations in above modes, please refer to the menu operations in DTV

PC MODE - Power on your Personal Computer and connect it to this TV.

- Press SOURCE button on unit side or remote control to set the unit in PC mode.

- Press MENU button to display the main menu and use LEFT or RIGHT navigation

button to select PICTURE.

- Then press OK button and use UP or DOWN navigation button to select Screen.

- Press OK button again to enter submenu.

- Press UP or DOWN navigation button to select desired item.

- Press LEFT or RIGHT navigation button to adjust the value.

Auto Adjust

This item is used to adjust the value of screen automatically.

Horizontal Pos.

This item is used to adjust the value of horizontal position from 0-100.

Vertical Pos.

This item is used to adjust the value of vertical position from 0-100.

Size

This item is used to adjust the value of size from 0-100.

Phase

This item is used to adjust the value of phase from 0-100.

NOTE: The picture will shake with unsuitable phase setting.

For the PICTURE, SOUND, TIME, OPTION and LOCK menus, please refer to the menu

operations in DTV mode.

Be sure to press POWER button to set the player to the standby mode and disconnect

the power plug before maintaining the player.

Wipe the player with a dry, soft cloth.

If the surface is extremely dirty, wipe clean with a cloth which has been dipped in a weak

soap-water solution and wrung out thoroughly, and then wipe again with a dry cloth.

Never use alcohol, benzene, thinner, cleaning fluid or other chemicals. And do not use

compressed air to remove dust.

Do not wall mount the TV while TV is turned on. It may cause personal injury due to

electric shock.

Use standard M6 screws (12mm / 4 pieces) to mount this TV.

Check the following points before assuming malfunctions of this unit:

Symptom Remedy

No power. Insert the AC adaptor securely into the power outlet.

No picture. Ensure that the equipment is connected properly.

● No sound.

● Distorted sound.

● Ensure that the equipment is connected properly.

● Ensure that the input setting for the TV and stereo system

are correct.

● Adjust the master volume to a suitable volume by pressing

VOL+/VOL- button.

No operations can be

performed with the remote

control unit.

● Check the batteries are installed with the correct polarities.

● The batteries are exhausted: Replace them with new ones.

● Point remote control at the remote control sensor and

operate it again.

● Operate the remote control unit at a distance of no more

than 6m from the remote control sensor on TV.

● Remove the obstacles between the remote control and

remote control sensor on TV.

No key operation (by the

main unit and/or the

remote control unit) is

effective.

Disconnect the power adaptor and then reconnect it. (The

player may not be operating properly due to lightning, static

electricity or some other factors.)

No or poor picture.

● Adjust antenna or use an external antenna.

● Relocate the unit near a window (if inside a building).

● Move units away from this product that causes interference.

● Do Auto Tuning again.

● Try another channel.

No sound or poor sound.

● Press MUTE button on remote control to cancel mute

function.

● Unplug the headphone.

Noise or other interface. Electronic equipment near the unit is causing interference.

Relocate the unit or move the equipment.
