Welcome to the First Edition of Safety Matters

WELCOME FROM OURMANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director, I would firstly like to thank all of our customers for working with us over the past few years as we have built and developed the business. This development will continue and we have some exciting plans for future with a range of new products and services that will be available over the next few months.

The business has grown rapidly since 2013 and we now have a team of 12 with a number of other professionals and organisations supporting us when required.

The team has wide-ranging experience in a number of sectors and we can also offer support in business and project

management, PPE and equipment supply and safety leadership training for directors and senior managers.

The training and learning academy is also expanding with more e-Learning courses, bespoke Work at Height training programmes and partnerships with prominent UK universities for research and development.

We now have a UK-wide footprint and we are servicing clients the length and breadth of the country. Many of our clients are European and Global players and we are making inroads into the overseas markets that our customers operate in.

Over the years we have supported our clients with risk management and, in particular, accident investigations.

For me, this is always a stark reminder of what can happen when things go wrong at work. At home, we can also face grave dangers – the recent Grenfell disaster is testament to this.

We can help reduce the risks that your business faces on an everyday basis and keep you on the road to a harm-free environment.

If we can assist in any way, please contact Gemma Carr on 01698 533 633 or email [email protected]

Project Health & Safety Services are delighted to be working with Eden Kafevend, the UK’s leading workplace and office drinks vending machine supplier, to support their journey to excellence in health and safety management.

Working alongside the Eden Management Team, we aim to enhance the safety management

systems already in place by identifying any gaps in their current provision, through audit, inspection and associated performance measurement.

Eden Kafevend will then be able to use evidence-based information to bring positive leadership to safety management across the business and enhance health, safety and wellbeing performance.

Our team have worked with a range of organisations to deliver compelling annual safety conferences. We tailor the conference to industry sector and business to ensure maximum content value.

To provide a lasting positive impact for all attendees, we introduce audience interactivity wherever possible. We use group ‘voting’ participation to gauge where audiences are on key issues at points in time and we utilise role playing or dramatised scenarios to bring situations to life for maximum impact.

Project Health & Safety Services work closely with your Senior Management Team to develop and shape each conference to ensure that the right messages are conveyed each and every time.

We make sure that your current challenges and performance levels in relation to Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) are effectively communicated and as important, what the business is doing to meet these challenges and improve HSQE performance.

The safety conference is an excellent

We believe regular employee engagement is key to effective safety management in any business. Our compelling safety conferences allow your business to communicate and engage with your staff.

The Health and Safety Executive have announced the launch of a new programme called CHeRT (Construction Health Risk Toolkit) - a self-assessment tool to help focus on the management of health risks in construction.

NEW FROM PHSS Safety Conferences

Aimed at medium-sized employers, the initiative aims to highlight what measures employers should have in place to manage, monitor and control any health risks to employees through work activity. Delivered via face-to-face presentation by an HSE Officer and focusing on the four key themes of Commitment, Management, Involvement and Evaluation, the presentation provides a thought-provoking framework for discussion of health risk management, rather than an inspection. The programme is hoped to encourage a review of current health risk procedures, with a view to ongoing review and improved health risk management.
